Fixing calculators as a little hobby for today · 10:49pm May 6th, 2017
Because silver should not be used as wiring for the pads on calculators.
Seriously.
It's pretty much all tarnished.
I think I know why this calculator doesn't work anymore.
Also, that's not a LCD or LED screen on this thing. It's a VFD, or Vacuum Fluorescent Display. This baby uses vacuum tubes.
Don't mind my leg sticking out under the table in the first pic.
Don't see too many vacuum tubes anymore
4522815 yup.
That calculator is old. And you are either old or have a serious knowledge problem since you actually know that.
*SNICKERS*
Whenever i would find a calculator in 6th grade... I would destroy it LOL (I'm being serious LOL)
4523103 It was an old relic I found at a thrift store. I'm only in my mid-teens, but I like calculators that have brushed aluminum bodies. To me they're fancier than iPhones... Of which I don't have.
4523140 I actually have a pile of broken dollar store calculators from elementary school somewhere...
