Updates and Strawpoll (Zootopia related.... duh) · 1:11am May 6th, 2017
So the first half of this is all just personal rambling, which I'll spoil if you don't care about, everything else is story stuff.
here’s what’s going on guys. This semester’s been kind of a bitch to me. I’ve had one project after another dumped on me before final (which start next week), and I might get to retake spanish over the summer. Also, my laptop’s hard drive failed, and the computer repair replaced it, but lost about 90% of its data, meaning all of work I did in my last 4 years of college for my portfolio are poof, nuked, gone. Yay. On top of that, my body has decided to develop acid reflux, preventing me from eating red meat and other kinds of foods high in fat and acid (also need to watch how much sugar I eat in a day), and panic attacks, which is when you aren’t having a heart attack, but it feels like one, so it freaks you out really bad. Lots of fun. AND I’ve had no luck finding internships, but since I was stupid and forgot to apply for graduation this semester, I get to take an extra class in the fall, so I have until then to get my ass in gear and find something… hooray for stupidity?
Luckily, I’m on medication now, mostly mellowing out, and aside from spanish, I think I’ve got my classes under control for the final week of class.
STORY RELATED STUFF
Despite my setbacks, I have been hard at work for the past two months writing a SFW Zootopia WildeHopps fic. Why two months? Because it’s 12 chapters long and 130 pages. Holy crapbaskets, right? I mean, can you believe I wrote that much in that amount of time?
“Hey how come it took you three years to write 10 chapters of Scales, and it’s not even finished yet?”
Ha ha ha… anyway.
So, the other question you might be asking “If this long-ass story is finished, why aren’t you publishing it?” That’s because I’m waiting on @steelquill to finish HIS Zootopia story, so that way we can both undergo the process of proofreading each other’s work for errors and other sorts of tomfuckery that went unnoticed when we initially wrote our drafts, and make sure they’re a little more up to par with what our readers want to see from us (instead of publishing half-baked walls of text that prove that fanfiction in general deserves the reputation its gained over the past decades.
Little update on that though, he’s told me that he’s finished the first draft of his multi-chapter story as well, so as soon as he proofreads his own stuff, we should be ready to swap in the next few weeks. So I’m not really making a set date or anything, but you can probably expect my story around… June-ish, maybe?
And on one final note, since I can’t really go many days without writing anymore, I’m going to probably start construction on another story after finals are done with. Believe me I’ve got SEVERAL stories that I’ve been dreaming up and just itching to write out and publish. So, after this post, I’m going to make another one with a strawpoll, showing the story prompts I have outlined, so you can vote on which one you want me to go through with.
And I know I said I was going to do some short drabbles… I will. Sometimes. Eventually. IDK. We’ll see.

I've mentioned it in several comments by now. I guess I could make a blog post about it, if I felt like it, but, eh.
Anyway, yeah, that story is most likely not going to get finished. I've pretty much lost the drive to write anything pony related in the past year. I mean, miracles could happen and I could suddenly get struck with the urge to finish it, but that's not likely to happen. It's best to consider it dead.
I'm surprised you still even come here seeing how you're on that Zootopia hype train.

I come here because I know I have followers, and AO3 doesn't have a blog system. So it's here and tumblr that I'm able to make "hey guys, I made a story, look!" type posts. Also, I still like to see my old work is still getting fav'd and commented on.
And I don't think you're the only one who voted for the incest story (either of them). There's about 11 votes wanting Judy to screw Nick's mom, while 2 votes want to see Nick and Judy taking their own son's virginity. Unless you're referring to the bikini one, in which case yes, you're the only one who voted for that.

Ah. Well yeah, that one has two votes, so rest assured there's one other person out there who's as depraved as you and me.
I kind of had a feeling that one wouldn't be a popular choice. People tend to get squicky about underage cub stuff, even if it's done in a completely consensual non-harmful and fuzzy-wuzzy way. Can't help people's preferences, I guess.
Regardless, I'm sure I'll get to that one further on down the line.

Also, I'm probably gonna end up sharing this link through a few short stories I'll be posting in the next few weeks, so that might get even more votes.
Even then, after those short stories is when I'll be posting my big kahuna of a story that I've been working on for a few months now, so whatever story wins won't even be posted until, like, a month after that one has been 100% published. So yeah, this is all very much future planning and the tides could change between now and... July-ish. Never say never.
