Something Weird... · 1:33am May 5th, 2017
So, while reading various HiE stories, I've seen plenty of explanations for clothing. However, usually it boils down to something about modesty and personal preference. The thing is though, I don't think anyone has ever mentioned sunburn. Clothes protect our skin from the sun and the elements, and yet no one really goes into that part. It's all just "I don't wanna be nekkers." Personally, I don't wanna fry my skin and get all of the cancers by walking around naked in the sun all the time.
That's all.
Back to my hole to work on my stories...
Agreed that the "I don't want to be naked!" trope is overused, and used strangely. I'm not embarrassed when my cat sees me naked. If she could talk, I don't think I'd suddenly become embarrassed. I doubt it would be very different with ponies.
But for those who don't feel that way, "I don't have fur" seems like it would be all the explanation required.
