So, here we are. "Man Cannot Live On Tea Alone" has spent six days in the top slot of the Feature Box.
I've gotten over 100 new followers. Breaking 400 followers, too. I'm really, really happy, and I'm excited to show more work here. I'm also feeling very, very lucky. I've had a good amount of success here on FimFic, but I feel like it's been mostly luck, or finding that right moment to drop the right story that catches people's eye.
For those of you following "Man Cannot Live On Tea Alone" - The second part of the story, titled "Man Cannot Live On Coffee Alone", is already complete. I'm waiting for some of the fire on the first part to die down before I post the next part. It picks back up right where the first story left off. It ends in a similar fashion, too, and I already have plans for a THIRD part, which will likely be the final installment of this story for the moment. It will wrap up Jake's day with Rarity, but probably leave it open for more if I want to write more later.

So, the other thing I wanted to bring up are commissions.
I'm not a 'professional' writer. I'm studying and working towards becoming an English Teacher, but writing is a passion. I love to write things, and it's something that I do because I enjoy it.
Just recently, though, somebody asked to commission me to write a fic for them, and I accepted. It never really crossed my mind to open commissions, or even make a go at getting paid for writing here. I love it, but there's something to be said for offering up the skills that I have to people who would be willing to pay to see stories written for them. A story they want told, but don't want to write.
I want to write a story for you.
I'm going to make myself available for commissions. I'm a really reasonable guy, and I have an open mind when it comes to the kind of things I will write, and how much I'll get paid for a piece. I absolutely have limits for what I will write, though, so when you ask something, please keep in mind that I'm going to prioritize serious stories that play to my strengths over trollfics or other things. I'm not somebody that'll turn down a ship because I don't like it, so if you want romantic? Cool. Self-insert? Cool. If you're following me, you likely know where my writing strengths are.
At the moment, for the month of May, I am only going to have two commission slots. No more, no less. I want to see how things go before I jump in the deep end, and that seems like a reasonable number. If you want to secure a commission slot, it is first-come, first serve.
If you are interested in commissioning me, feel free to leave a comment below, or send me a PM. I'd love to discuss your story idea with you. We will work together to determine a length and a payment amount, but to give you an idea of what I'll be asking for, I'm currently considering $8 USD per 1000 words, up to 5000 words, and then $10 USD for every 1000 words over 5000. Any story that is going to go beyond 10,000 words is subject to negotiation.

Truly a wonderful story, and it definitely deserved that long held top spot. Can't wait for more! Out of curiosity, any romance planned, or a completely platonic relationship? Worth waiting for either way!
