Happy Valborg all my friends, Swedish and otherwise!
Valborg, 30th of April, is for us Swedes a particular holiday where we listen to choires singing and lit bonfires that burn through the night. We use this holiday as a celebration of the arrival of spring, and the cold hard winter finally coming to an end. It gives us hope for warmth and sunshine and comfort we've been lacking since October.
It's a holiday especially celebrated by students at universeties and collsges, who throw parties and shows. But it also time for family and friends to come toghther and celebrate the warmer seasons finally arriving.
P.S It can be noted that freezing tempratures and occasionally snow is still commonly featured at this day
That sounds like fun. Minus the cold. I hate the cold. Happy Celebrations!
Have fun!
Happy Valborg till dej också keam

May is about to begin, and where I live and winter hasn't quite let go of us all of the way just yet. In fact it could come back any moment now. I wonder if I'll see snow on my birthday again the is year? Anyway have fun Keam. Just don't get too crazy okay.
We (Netherland) light bonfires around easter...
Have fun, don't burn yourself
4514893 I won't!
Now I wish I lived in Sweden!
4514917 Haja no u don't
And it's my birthday, so I'm going to go ahead and pretend that the Swedes are all celebrating for me.
4514939 haha do that. Haopy borthday my friend!
Yes, I know of it. There are similar celebrations in much of Europe. It's like Halloween's evil twin, exactly six months before/after it. (Or maybe Halloween is the evil one?)
4515609 it's the not evil halloween twin. It's noot evil, but rather the opposit. The bonfires were used to scare off witches in the passed
Hope you had fun on that day.
