So. We have the teensiest bit of a situation. Those of you who read EQD already know about this, but for those who don't, Treehouse, the Canadian channel that airs MLP, is going through this season at double-time. They've chosen to air new episodes on both Saturday and Sunday. They're airing a new one tomorrow, and by Sunday, May 28th, they'll be airing the thirteenth episode of Season 7.

By that time, Discovery Family will have aired the eighth episode.

Yeah.

Now, make no mistake, this isn't a leak or a flub on the part of DHX. Once the channel has the footage, it's their choice to do with it as they will. But this will make things problematic for those of us who wanted to savor the season at the usual rate, or at least deal with spoilers at a reasonable rate of accumulation. Suffice to say, Friendship is Card Games will stick to its weekly schedule. For everything else... well, prepare yourselves as best you can.

My only concern with this is whether or not Treehouse has an HD channel. If they do I don't seem to have it.

Thanks for the heads up. I may be forced to watch at the accelerated rate, as it will be too difficult to avoid spoilers.

They certainly can't do this all season, as Big Jim Miller has said the lead time on episodes is about eight weeks, so they'd be airing the finale before it was finished!

It is a channel for 6 year olds, they don't have HD.

I'm happy that Channel FoME is sticking with Discovery's air rate. Seasons of pony are short enough and hiatuses long enough that we don't need to rush them any more.

Here's hoping the fandom at large bears that in mind. If people base their reactions on bowdlerized versions of the episodes...

Well, maybe enough conflicts there will get people to disregard the earlier airings.

I simply don't have the time to write two card blogs a wee, and I only have about six weeks of comics left in my personal reserve anyway. There was never a risk of me following Treehouse's example.
