The results of the flashfic contest I blogged about are in!
My 150 word story actually ended up as the second runnerup in the context. The first runnerup spot ended up as Trick Question's Burning Up. And the winner was Pascoite with Second Draft. (Which I really liked.)
We'll be doing the contest again starting the first of May, so join the Flashfic group if you are interested.
Here was my entry. The prompt was "getting warmer", btw:
Rarity waved a pair of socks at me hopefully.
I sighed. Never bring your sister along clothes shopping. At least, with a sister like Rarity.
She'd been all about wanting to make my clothes at first. That's not really a bad thing, but you don't really want all your clothes to be your sisters, and they should be stuff you like.
Still, I humored her. I tried on the socks, the mittens, the scarf, and the ear muffs, plus various legwarmers, even when my legs were starting to get tired, and all the clothes were turning into a blur. Then, finally, it was time to head to the checkout.
"Are you sure?" Rarity said, pulling out a pair of lime green legwarmers.
I nodded. They were warm. Bugging Rarity was just a bonus.
Still, things could have been worse. Imagine if our trip was gonna be more than three days?

I really liked your entry, Sweetie. It was one of my favorite ones.

Thanks!
I've been thinking that if I keep with doing the flash fics long enough and gather up misc other little drabbles from here and there, I might eventually have 1000+ words of them, and be able to put up a little collection of them.
It's also a little tempting to try and expand out it a little bit. OTOH, I'm not sure how far I could expand things. It was fun, though.

Congratulations, SweetAI Belle; second runner up is something to be proud of. Despite not being a huge 15,000 words one-shot with massive character development, action sequences, adventure, with a side of romance and comedy that I usually read, I liked it!
Oh, and I would like to see your little collection of mini-writings.
Good luck!
