I think I've finally finished the bonus chapters in Feather Steel. It took me forever because I couldn't justify that ending without a real reason. You know when you watch a character do something in a movie or video game and you go... huh? In the back of your head, you accept it so you can just move on and keep watching, but you can't help but feel like their decisions aren't rational and lack real logic behind them? That was my issue, hopefully, it reads fine and no one brings up any concerns this way... but wow that took forever lol. 
Well, at least you took time to acknowledge that and do something about it. Good on you
