In celebration of a beloved icon of animation (and the series he came from) · 2:14am Apr 17th, 2017

Honest question for all you animation fans out there: Out of curiosity (and in honor of a certain character's upcoming birthday / anniversary of a certain beloved franchise), when it comes to the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts, what (if any) impact did it have on you, growing up?

What was it like for you, when you saw them for the first time?

What are your fondest memories with the series and other cartoons like them (whether you watched them or any of the cartoons Warner Bros made in the 1990s?)

Who are your favorite LT/MM characters and why?

Would you say that these (and other classic cartoons of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s) still have an influence on you, today?

If so, in what way?

In case anyone might be curious about the history of the series and the characters or may want to learn some facts about it that you never knew about before, take a good look at this (though I'd advise you to take what's said here with a grain of salt as not all of what's presented here is entirely accurate): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxgc1bB4qAA

Honestly, the oldest cartoon from memory that I watched regularly as a kid was Tom & Jerry. Always loved that show! That and Scooby-Doo. Ohhh gosh I watched every Scooby-Doo movie and TV series. "The 13 Ghosts Of Scooby-Doo" was a personal favorite. Ghoul School also brings up some heavy nostalgia.

I have to say that for Looney Tunes I always enjoyed anything that had Bugs Bunny being funny against the other characters, Daffy, Elmer, Sam, etc. He always made me laugh and they were pluses to me. Dragon Ball Z may have been my first attempt at drawing but Looney Tunes were basically the start of the idea to draw if that makes sense. d:

Nice!

You watch Animat too? :pinkiehappy:
