    Stream Thursday

I'm going to pick up where I left off yesterday on Thursday. I was originally going to continue tonight, but something came up that I had to address. Namely complications with my post-surgery care. My apologies if you were looking forward to my stream tonight. I'm still streaming "The Last Day of June" tomorrow as planned, as well.

    Hiatus Update

I'm sorry it's been so long since I gave y'all an update on my hiatus. Getting my life back in order hasn't been easy going or quick. As we speak, I'm on break at work. The job I have has me doing 12 hour work shifts constantly, five to six days a week. It's killing my debt fast.

    Quick update

This is going to be real brief. I'm through about half the items (that I had back in January) I wanted to get through before coming back. After what has happened now, though, I'm fairly certain I will be guided away from Fimfiction and through all these trials I face until July.

I sing?! · 3:35pm Mar 31st, 2017

I've never sung well a day in my life, and I posted a YouTube video of me singing? What is this nonsense? :pinkiecrazy:

Hey guys, a friend wanted to hear me singing, out of tune and all, and for some reason, I decided to actually do it! I don't really mind that I sing horrible at the moment, the act of trying it in the first place was fun in of itself. You're free to poke fun at the video or whatever. I know I am, just a smidge. :rainbowlaugh:

However, I can make this a regular thing if people actually legitimately like it. I practiced for dozens of hours trying to get it to as good of a final product as I could with my zero skill, so hopefully it doesn't shatter any ears. :pinkiecrazy:

Probably the best part about this is you get to see what I look like in real life. :pinkiegasp:

Beautiful Performance and singing! The song sounds similiar to this

So THAT'S what you look like in real life. I'm no Beast, but I'd never have the courage to post an image of myself online, that's for sure. :pinkiesad2:
But hey, if you wanna see a piccie of my cat, go right ahead and ask. :pinkiehappy:

I commend you for your support. My inner perfectionist harps on me for not hitting those high registers. The 'Waving Through a Window' line particularly gave me trouble. :rainbowlaugh:

4478454 Still you made it sound good!

:rainbowlaugh:

I'm already used to posting my face up on streaming services such as YouTube or Twitch. I used to be a live streamer, so it's nothing new to me.

Thanks! I guess I'll have to show my roommate this then. He's got an acute sense of hearing, so he'll hear all the times out of tune, but maybe he'll enjoy it more than my past singing habits. :pinkiehappy:

4478461

That also answers the question of whether or not I do this again. I can see myself singing How Far I'll Go from Moana or Hurt by Johnny Cash

4478469 I look foward it if you will do this

Never heard this song before. I don't know if that's the style of the artist, but you seem to be singing on half voice; there's a breathier quality to your sound. You also aren't using very much vibrato, which may have helped you stay in tune on the longer notes. I'd say you can hold a tune pretty well, though! :pinkiehappy: Overall, it's a nice job, and since you say you're untrained, that was pretty good.

I judge your range is higher than mine. Your tessitura sounds like a tenor's register.

4478547

Thanks! And I have no idea what any of that means! I limited my range on purpose because my higher registers my voice would crack and I couldn't get rid of it. It was a hit or miss whether or not that I'd hit the note.

I can hit the higher high notes in this song. Just not reliably.

Well, I was actually trying to say that your voice sounds to be in a higher range than mine. "Vibrato" is "ringing" of the voice.

That reliability likely would increase with training. A lot of it is knowing how your voice feels at those notes and breathing properly to get up there. It also helps to hear the note internally before you even sing it.

Don't ever do metal. Your voice it too pretty to be ripped to shreds. :raritywink:

I watched the video and you earned a sub!:derpytongue2:

Thanks! I have made it to where you can request specific songs of me through my task update blog, if that sort of thing interests you. There is other stuff available through that system as well. :derpytongue2:
