Hello my dear readers and welcome in a new entry of my blog. It's been a while and I wanted to say something that is really has been in my mind.
As you all know, I have joined many groups which shared the hatred for that garbage that is EQG (heck, I've opened it's own page here on Fimfiction and another one on Facebook). At the time I really, really, REALLY hated that piece of shit. Now? I still hate it, but now my attention has been focused on the main series and how much the actual writers are capable to find ways to drag the show downhill, more and more, turning a show that I once held dear into a complete unfunny joke. But I still remember the one of the two people which made me step into all of this. One was Dark Qiviut (and sadly if you have readed my latest blogs entry you will know how much he's changed) and the other one was MovieMaster8510.
His review of the first and second Equestria Girls is a masterpiece that gives me Nostalgia Critic vibes and I couldn't help but feel compelled to try and do my best to add something on why EQG sucked so much balls. So, when EQG 3 came out I expected it another review like that. But then, after he saw it, he put that review among the other movies he had seen because apparently didn't think it was that bad. Okay, so maybe he will gave it 2 stars, maybe two stars and an half. I get that EQG movies can only improve (as much as such something so with little focus and effort can be put into it) the first colossal dud. Aaaaaand then I've opened a page in which he did that review and figure it out he gave it 4 and an half star...
Let me repeat that. HE gave EQG 3 almost FIVE FUCKING STARS, praising every little thing.
Now, I can't really say what sequel was better/least worst in the Equestria Girls franchise. IMHO both EQG 2 and 3 did something better (EQG 2 had slightly better villains, 3 had better... erh, humor) than the first one, but still, such rank was a little bit too much for me. I've tried to reply to his review, posting the video EWW of EQG 3 and prove him that the movie had the same amount of flaws than the 2° one. His relpy was short and simple.

And to that my reaction was this:
But I'm not someone who gets upset over people have different opinions. After all I do still follow Jarvy who sort of likes EQG. I try to be as much of polite as possible.
Now EQG 4 has been out for a while and I was curious to read his thoughts about it, if he was going to react. And then, some weeks ago, I had the chance to ask him about it and his answer was more or less this:

You know, I couldn't really blame him for not wanting to review another EQG movie, afterall just the fact that we share our existence in the same universe with that horrid franchise is bad enough. My problem with that reply (and the reason of this whole rambling blog entry) is focused on this last part of his review of Equestria Girls 3 Friendship Games:
This is what I feel the Equestria Girls series always should have been from the beginning, and it breathes new life into it that not only sets up possible sequels (though, they may need to graduate high school at some point (I mean, they should all be seniors (at least I know Sunset is)), but provides a compelling reason to demand for more. For the past two years, I’ve dreaded the release of a Equestria Girls movie, and now, I’ll await the fourth with open arms.
Now won't you call that irony at his finest? He claimed of EQG 3 become an awesome movie (*cough*cough*bullshit*cough*cough*) and he couldn't wait for the 4° one to come out and now that such movie is out and is considered the worst by many (at least from what I've gathered) he will act as nothing happend. He knows how much the above statement is bullshit but for some reason or another he want us to forgive about it and move along.
Well, I'm not. You, MovieMaster8510, claimed something that then proved to be wrong (and that I hoped that you would realize with time) and I think is due for you to admit that just because EQG 3 was the better of all the sequels of that darn garbage, it doesn't always means that ALL the sequels will be at the same level, especially given how each one of them has it's own writer. Who knows, maybe EQG 5 will be as good as Friendship Games and then maybe the 6° is going to be even worst than the very first movie, but that's a kind of thing of which I prefer don't ponder too much about it.
I'm not asking for a review like EQG 1 or two because I know that things have changed because Life likes to play hard on us and we need to get a job and stuff like that. All I'm asking is a short blog entry (even much more shorter than this) in which you sum up all the things wrong with the 4° movie. And then you will not hear anything else from me.
Before to conclude I want to assure you, MovieMaster8510, that I don't want to sound rude; if you feel offended I'm sorry for it, but it's just something that I couldn't hold back anymore.

amen, brother! Friendship Games is just as much as a travesty as the fist two EqG movies (the worst one of all time being Rainbow Rocks). I cannot understand why anyone would like this series for any reason other than The Dazzlings. and, yes, I also read moviemaster's review on that movie. I was just like “wow, really?” -- I couldn't believe he actually praised it. despite that, I respect his opinion; I am not going to tear him down just for that (besides, that's not how I roll). well, anyway, let's get on with the fucking movie itself.
first off, let me deal with the one thing that made this series the fucking mockery -- in the form of a really nasty “Take That!” from Hasbro and DHX to all us fans -- it is in the first place: Sunset Shimmer. if haven't noticed already, I don't like her much at all -- I cannot get myself to like her when all that broken character “development” gets in the way! sure -- there's amazing fan art of her; all these crazy theories regarding her; and the goopy, over-the-top fanfics written about her... but that doesn't make up for the piecea shit she really is. in the first Equestria Girls, she was a heartless, unrepentant, sadistic, bloodthirsty, self-centred Alpha Bitch... who was fucking brainwashed into being good by the HuMane Six! whoop-dee-fucking-doo. then in Rainbow Rocks, she is this special little crybaby Mary Sue snowflake who doesn't do anything in the slightest to earn her goddamned redemption! (and good luck telling that to all her fans; they're not gonna see it that way!) and now, THIS! I don't even know where to start, as there is now a lot more about her to hate -- and that's in addition to all the horseshit she's given us in Rainbow Duds Rocks! oh I know, how about all those times where she's an uncaring, heedless, apathetic asshole to Sci-Twi? isn't Sunset supposed to be the Element of Empathy or whatever role the producers shoehorned her into?! just look at how she treats the poor thing -- she's not being comprehensive or showing concern for this troubled young gal, no! all Sunset ever did was treat Sci-Twi the same way she treated her schoolmates in EqG 1: like shit! she yells down Twi-Twi's throat, insults her, pushes her aside, and gives her the stink eye throughout the whole damn movie. and she's still a fucking Mary Sue for Robert Fripp's sake!! she becomes Daydream, even though she doesn't do anything to earn that position! oh, and Sci-Twi's the bad gal... only because DHX wanted Sunset to look good for the audience. really, McCarthy and Ruddel?! is that all you guys can do?? no, just no! you can't have Twi become Midnight Sparkle just for the sake of having a villain -- she's a timid genius nerd who got picked on by everyone else at Crystal Prep, not some power-hungry crackpot (a.k.a. Sunset Shimmer 1.5)! seriously, DHX, stop making Sunset this untouchable, invincible, perfect mofo! IT'S GETTING ON MY NERVES, AND IT'S DEFINITELY GOTTEN OLD! just stop it. I'd like to go on about this broken mess of bacon hair, Azrael, but I've got other fish to fry.
second, the story makes no sense whatsoever. it doesn't even go anywhere -- it's all over the place! are we supposed to believe for even one second that this is actually about a competition between two rivaling schools, one of which is a dilapidating public institution inhabited by bumbling idiots, when there is no clear plot or premise? puhleeze! what's the point of making yet another EqG movie if the same tired tropes and formulae are gonna be used over and over again? oh, and Sunset and Sci-Twi become friends in the end, even though Sunset was clearly being enemies with her. *sigh*
I was gonna come up with more, but there's actually not much to complain about, as this movie is just a sterile, mediocre peice of crap compared to the first two fucking silver screen catastrophes. thank you for taking the time to read my worthless, shitty rambling ...so long, my good friend, and until next time!
