Woo! 5 Chapters down and half way through the first arc! And almost spot on 15 000 words, so my 30 000 word first arc goal is looking spot on! Yay me!
I've noticed a change in tone with my writing style, and that is exactly what I am after! I've stopped over editing and am now just plowing through and putting in content. My plan is to get in a rhythm and develop my style, and then go back and edit and fill in the gaps. Hopefully this will lead to a much more consistent and easier to read narrative.

It also seems to be taking on a much more serious tone than I first planned. For the most part, I was aiming at a light hearted and somewhat adult orientated fic that would be for the most part tic bait. However, the world I'm building seems to be a little fuller than I first planned, and the story as a whole has a lot more elements to it.
And that scares me a little. What if folks genuinely start taking this seriously!?! I'm about as serious as a Wallnut in a chewing gum commercial! I mean, have you ever seen a walnut in a chewing gum commercial!?! I'm going to say no, because no one would take it seriously!!! Would you by chewing gum if it was advertised with Wallnuts? I know I wouldn't...
