The start of something new? · 10:43am Mar 22nd, 2017
I love Fanfiction. I've read it for years, and really enjoy what others have to offer. So when I decided to take the plunge and try my own hand at this, I guess that a fresh start and a new outlook were in order.
So this is me. I am writing as of a couple of days ago, I've created an account, and I've commissioned an Artist for the beginnings of some cover art. Mt intent is to not sort of go at this half-heartedly. For this first story I do not intend to post anything until the first Arc is complete.
This is for several reasons. I work full time, I have other interests and a family. And most of all, I want to make regular updates. How regular will depend on the amount of content I end up with, and how long on average it takes me to to create and edit it. And how well the story is received.
I really haven't written anything before and I'm a little self-conscious about my writing style. My main fear is it will be a little bland, as I tend to spend most of my days spewing Bureaucratic garbage for the rinse and recycle of government work and regulation. Hopefully this oppitunity will add a filter, or 'Grate' to the rubbish I am forced to produce and allow something of merit to make it's way through.
I am yet to come up with anything solid as far as dates go, but this blog will be able to serve as a timeline for anyone in the future once I go live with my first story. So what can you expect from me as far as content goes?
I'm looking at about 2-3000 words per chapter. I tend to get a little wordy, so until I find my groove it is likely not to be too fast paced. I'm still on the fence when it come to mature content, but my first story will almost definitely contain some. I'm not into extreme fetishes or the like, and outright gore, horror or excessive use of foul language are never really going to be a part of what I want to do.
But that just about covers what for the most part is meant to be a marker of sorts to serve as a start point for a time line. I'll catch you all (if anyone ever reads this) in the next update.
