    New Anon-A-Miss story

I was thinking of writing my own version of the Anon-A-Miss comic where there are key differences that make the story make sense.

Instead of the humane 5 accusing Sunset of being Anon-A-Miss, they suspect that she got hacked and had the pictures on her phone stolen and were handed over to Anon-A-Miss.

What are your thoughts on this story idea?

New Anon-A-Miss story · 5:28am Mar 22nd, 2017

I was thinking of writing my own version of the Anon-A-Miss comic where there are key differences that make the story make sense.

Instead of the humane 5 accusing Sunset of being Anon-A-Miss, they suspect that she got hacked and had the pictures on her phone stolen and were handed over to Anon-A-Miss.

What are your thoughts on this story idea?

Also, I heard that another version of this story was already done, but I just wanted to be sure before I start writing anything. If someone has already written this story, please let me know.

I know I only have what 7 followers, but I just wanted to make sure.

While it is good to change that part of the story the problem is going to be finding a main source of conflict.

The problem with Anon-A-Miss is that everyone got whacked in the head with the stupid stick because A) the old Sunset never blackmailed without reason/a way to cover her ass, B) the whole Anon-A-Miss thing was sloppy as fuck and not Sunset's style. So you take away the stupid and there's really no conflict and it's easy for anyone with a brain to see that Sunset was framed.

If you want to work this angle, then the original plot will need some real tweaking and the main conflict will probably not just effect Sunset but also the human 5 as well.

Really it depends on how big and dramatic you want to go with it.

Hmmm... it could be an interesting idea.

But if you are going to jump into the world of writing, I'd suggest maybe start with something smaller first. Going in with a longer story doesn't always work out... trust me I know.

Got it, because I have had some other fic ideas that I've been meaning to work with.

Then I say work with those other ideas then.

If there's something a bit shorter that you had planned in mind, I say use that as a start. As the lyrics of One Small Thing says, '

Soon, one small thing leads to more
It's so much more than there was before
Just one small thing, and you will see
The start of something big for you and me

The problem is the ideas I had were just as long, if not longer, than Anon-a-miss.

Ah okay. Well why not try just simple slice of life as a start? Those Inquisitor characters, why not make like an every day life story with them?

That could work, although how would they fit with EqG is the question.

Maybe make something up on the spot. Maybe have a short story about them making reports about the magic stuff at Canterlot High, that could be interesting.

That is actually what I was planning on, though it would have gone a bit further than that.

Still worth a shot

It could be a good idea, but I agree with FourShadow and Gpizano, you might be better suited to either do something smaller or alternately would have to think up a way for how the conflict of this idea would progress from having the premise change like that.

That being said, I'm all for any idea for an Anon-a-Miss story that *doesn't* make the girls into sociopathic morons, so you win big points with me for this premise just by virtue of having Sunset's friends, uh, actually be friends. XD
