What's the hip-hap ya whippersnaps?

I leave for a few years and it doesn't really seem like much has changed. Glad to see that clopfics haven't completely taken over the site and turned it to shit; you guys are some pretty good house keepers.

It feels... Refreshing? To be back, I mean. It's been a long time, but I've never stopped writing - I just shifted my focus a bit. Originally, I stopped writing for many reasons, the two major ones being I wasn't confident in my ability to convey all of my ideas in a presentable manner. I was lacking fluid, colorful descriptions and I intentionally abstained from describing some unimportant characters in previous stories so that people could interject their own characters. Kind of like cameos. The second reason was I made the mistake of writing some clop, and those short stories that I spent probably an hour on, at most, ended up getting more reads, comments, and favorites than the stories I poured weeks of work into. It was disheartening, that's not how I wanted to be remembered!

First off, I've learned to pace myself and stay on one subject instead of jumping around from story to story until I have 30 incomplete stories and feel swamped. As such, I'm going to work on The Story That Never Happened until it is finished, and then likely work on The Darklands (fun fact, they apparently pulled that story from the site!)

Now I'm back in the swing of things. Attentive readers may have noticed I said I never stopped writing; care to know what I've been working on this whole time? I call it: My Little Pony: Extended Universe. Without saying too much, I'll just post the introduction page to the project and then the link to what's published, so far, in case any of you are interested. Updates will be posted in future blogs so, if you like the project, be sure to pay attention to my blogs! This project is not able to be posted to FimFiction due to rules of publishing!

Without further ado: My Little Pony: Extended Universe...

Ever feel like the world of My Little Pony is just bare boned? Like things exist but just don't make enough sense to warrant their existence?

Take, for example, Nightmare Moon: We all know and fear the name of our glorious fated Queen, yet when she returns in Episode 2, few know her at all. Despite this, she has a celebrated holiday and a legend about her. Later into the show, we get a flashback to that fateful transformation, and we see that Nightmare Moons' existence and banishment to the moon happens within the span of a few minutes (an hour or two at best, real time), and only Celestia witnessed it. How exactly does Nightmare Moon gain so much fear towards her?

Enter, MLP Expanded Universe! A creative writing project started to flesh out the world of My Little Pony in ways that make sense. From historical timelines and famous speeches, to explaining how concepts work to even evolutionary timelines, MLP Expanded Universe is your one-stop-shop for a better My Little Pony.

But be warned! These are not the My Little Ponies you may be familiar with! Within these pages you will find genocide, betrayal, famine, dark magic threatening to consume the planet and, yes, even a few sunshines and rainbows! Unfortunately, not all of show canon is what's included here (some parts are just too frilly and toy-focused to be actual developments within their world).
