Summary: Arceus is what someone would call a mother who has experienced life over and over and has finally come to terms with what it means to protect you children, while at the same time letting them go. Having created the Pokemon race and watched over the human species for who knows how long, she has seen both the good side and the bad side of the human spectrum, and such is the reason for her continued defense of them even when others contemplate their existence as too much of a threat. Arceus tends not to get involved with the affairs of Pokemon or humans unless she means to nudge them in the right direction, or set certain things in motion in order to help others realize their destiny and purpose. A god in all but name and immortality, she makes up for her lack of eternal life and god status with the fact that she can outsmart, or command great and diverse abilities to defeat her opponents, that and the fact that she can easily tap into a reserve energy source from her own dimension if needed.
Powers: While the true extent of her abilities are unknown, she can do basic things that come with being an Original One such as, with a few exceptions:
Bending Reality-(a power she doesn't use often)Arceus can bend reality at will and make things pop into existence, however because she finds that it lacks no work or labor, she feels like what she makes is not as legitimate, or not worth as much as the real thing. So she just prefers to just synthesis the material and just do it from scratch.
Teleportation and Multiversal Navigation-Aside from being able to go anywhere in her own universe at an instant, Arceus can travel to any other dimension or universe she can access ranging from other Pokemon Earths, to faraway places like the Kaiju Worlds or the Null Void.
Elemental Plates-Arceus can use a plate in order to change her type, or the type of her move Judgement. She can also fuse two plates together to give her any type combination, in doing so she can take on the appearance of any dual type Legendary that it matches, this also replaces Judgement with a more powerful version of that Legendary's signature move.
Weakness-Do to her lack of immortality, Arceus is not immune to the ravages of time, and as such will die eventually. While she can regenerate and heal her own wounds, if an opponent bombards her with enough power or attacks she can be destroyed. Another things is that when she uses a plate to change types, she also changes personality and adopts some negative or unwanted traits that are normally associated with that element.

4457943 Well googling it just gives me links to the Ben 10 wiki, and a lot of episodes from various shows with the phrase "Null and void" in them. So it's either Ben 10 or a general term for empty space between dimensions.

Same here, I heard that they didn't even give the new one an origin episode. They just throw you into the new Ben 10 world and you just have to accept that he has an Omnitrix without any on-screen explanation of how he got it.
Plus it was really too soon for a Ben 10 reboot in my opinion

But yeah, from what I've seen, it's the setting, but not the soul of the show. Ben and Gwen's relationship isn't the same anymore, they're still cousins, but they don't argue as much, or call each other names, or anything they did in the original series that made them feel authentic.
Going off what you said about 'throw into it' there's been no attempt by Ben, Gwen, or Max to keep the Omnitrix a secret, hell, multiple people have referred to it as 'alien technology'.
It's also more 'monster of the week'. Of Ben's entire villains roster, only Hex and Zombozo have made appearances, and Zombozo didn't even have his freakshow, and nothing's been said of Vilgax.

It's just like Powerpuff Girls, same name and settings, but none of the heart and soul of the original.
Even the creator of the Original Powerpuff Girls, believed CN did it for business reasons, which can probably be said for Ben 10
But in all honesty CN is just bringing back these old shows to cash in.
The only GOOD thing they have done lately in terms of old shows is Samurai Jack, and it's only to give it a final season to conclude the story that was never finished, plus the original Director is doing it and that's probably the only reason why it's actually good and meaningful.
