    Seashell paperback incoming!

Once again, the proof copy is out for delivery right now.

The hardcover edition proof copy turned out great - some text mistakes to fix, but no printing errors that aren't mine! Lulu can print a book to specifications! Yay!

    Seashell: getting closer to print!

Here's where we are on the Seashell print book:
83 pages all told, including front matter and a preface. 75 of them so far are story. Anticipating about 10-20 more pages to be finished. Almost there!
Cover's done (for the hardcover edition dust-jacket, at least, will probably have to be redone for the paperback but whatever).

EFNW plans and other announcements · 1:38am Mar 5th, 2017

Guess who's on the writing track staff for Everfree Northwest this year?

:pinkiehappy:

I'm really looking forward to working with the writing track. EFNW is always an absolutely amazing convention to go to as a guest, and now I get to be part of making the magic happen. This is the first time I've ever been on staff at one of these things, so I'm sure it'll be an interesting new experience and a new side of it to see. I had tons of fun being a panelist and guest Iron Author judge and generally spending most of the con hanging out in writing track events last year, so I suppose this is the next logical step.

Of course, this means no Scribblefest entry for me. But that's alright, I'm eager to see all of yours! Good luck in that contest, everyone.

And in other (maybe not-so-new) news, my current novel-length project, Sunrise, is of course still in progress. I have ten chapters written so far. I know I haven't said much about it lately, but that's sort of a case of "no news is good news": work has been continuing at a steady enough pace without any major disruptions, so there hasn't been a lot to say. In a few more chapters, I might be ready to start publishing—or I may hold off on that until I have the whole thing completely written. It's just going to depend on how thoroughly satisfied I am with what I have so far at that point, whether or not I anticipate going back for big rewrites before publishing time, and how fast I can keep the pace of new writing going. If you want to start seeing it early, though, I can always use more pre-reader feedback. Just send me a PM if you're interested.

That's it for now. I hope to see you all at EFNW!

Congratulations, Winston!

I'm stupid late here, but... Welcome aboard! I really appreciated the work you did last year helping us judge, and I'm glad someone with more of a memory than me got you on board as staff this year!
