Heck of a time to lose power · 2:06pm Mar 1st, 2017
Storm rolled through this morning, and seemed to have knocked out power across the entire county. We managed to avoid the tornado watches, but still. Cell signal is still operational, obviously.
The chapter is written, but without power, it's a might difficult to do all the necessary proofreading. Hopefully the power comes back long enough before I have to leave for work that I can get that done, pick and insert the music, and get it published on time.
Until then, sleep calls. So wiped...stupid night shift.
I live out in the country my self so yep we know all about losing power.
witch is the mane reason for having a cummings 30kw sitting in the garage power is literary a switch turn away.
It's weird, ya know...
I live in Germany; the last power outage I experienced lasted 0.5 seconds - and the only reason I remember it is because it restarted my computer and corrupted my browser-session that happened to be autosaving at the time, which took some fiddling to recover afterwards.
But a real power outage? Like, more than a fraction of a second? I don't remember. Must've been 15-ish years or so. I do remember there was a 20-ish minute outage around midnight on January 1st, 2000. Probably a computer bug. Y2k and all that.
So... yeah. Sucks, hope it gets better soon and doesn't happen again any time soon (or at all!).
