MLP Blog: Season 7 Wishlist

Well, Season 7 is fast approaching soon and what do I hope to see this season? Well here are my top 5 on what I hope to see in Season 7. Now, most of these are the same as my previous wishlist so there’s not much difference as before but these are my main ones that I hope may happen in this coming season.

1. Twilight & Apple Bloom Episode
Yes, just as I said in the previous blog I still want an episode focused on these two characters. I felt quite disappointed that since Season 1 it looked as though they were building something up between Twilight and Apple Bloom then suddenly just dropped it. I don’t know what it is but the two of them together gives me a mother/daughter feel for them. Like in “Bridle Gossip” and “Call of the Cutie” the way Twilight just calls Apple Bloom ‘sweetie’. I’ve heard other ponies use words like ‘darling’ and ‘sweetheart’ and yeah I know that those don’t mean anything but it’s the way Twilight says it to Apple Bloom it sounds sort of motherly maybe that’s not the way some of you see it but it’s the way I see it and I do love it. But it’s not just the ‘mother/daughter’ thing that makes me like these two. It’s their similarities to one another like you could say that Apple Bloom is an earth pony version of Twilight given on some of the things with seen with her in some episodes and especially with her leadership to the CMC it somewhat matches her and Twilight perfectly which again makes me want to see an episode between them a lot!

2. Return of the Tree of Harmony/ Twilight’s Cutie Mark
Here’s another thing that I hope to see in Season 7 the history of the Tree of Harmony. Where did it come from? How did it grow, who created it? And why does it bear Twilight’s cutie mark?

This has been something that’s been plaguing my mind ever since the Season 4 premiere. As far as we know the tree is where the elements originated from but that’s just it. We haven’t yet known where or how the tree was created or who created it. Some might say it was Starswirl the Bearded which would make sense but we still have no evidence or confirmation that proves it to be true for all we know the tree could have just been naturally created on its own through Equestria’s magic. But there’s one thing that really bothers me and I truly hope that we get this in Season 7. How is it that Twilight just so happens to have earned a cutie mark exactly like the one on the tree of harmony?

Some of you may say it’s a coincidence or maybe the mark appeared on the tree shortly after Twilight ascended. For the latter, I highly doubt it because remember when we first saw the tree it was centuries ago and Twilight hasn’t been born yet so the mark must have been on the tree this entire time. As for a coincidence it’s a bit of a stretch for my taste given that the chances of a pony to earn a cutie mark exactly like one that has been shown on an ancient relic but then again Cadance’s cutie mark does show similarities to the crystal heart so I suppose there is a high chance that it is a coincidence.

However “The Cutie Mark Chronicles” episode leads me to believe that there is more to it than meets the eye. Think back to when the Mane 5’s earned their marks, we’ve all seen the marks literally appear on their flanks on screen, but, with Twilight’s the mark has already appeared we never seen it flash on her flank as we have with the others.

What do any of you think?

3. Equestria Girls Reference
I know we’ve seen Flash Sentry in two episodes of Season 4 but I wouldn’t count that as a reference to EQG maybe more of a shoutout. To me, a reference is actually mentioning the events that transpired before. I understand that both MLP and EQG are both separate brands but I don’t think there as separate as we make it out to be and even if they were would it really take away the main show?

I wouldn’t believe so even if they just mentioned Sunset Shimmer or show the mirror portal in the library it would not steal the attention away from the episode it would just be a fun little easter egg like we get in any other show. Personally, I love the EQG brand and I think it deserves more recognition think about it would My Little Pony still just be as good without Equestria Girls. I’d say, no.

By adding EQG into the franchise it helps made MLP much more interesting and exciting that makes people like me want to see more and see what happens to both worlds. I hope that we get to see more of Equestria Girls in Season 7 and not just in the specials.

4. Discord in Equestria Girls
Moving towards the specials here I would love to see Discord appear in one of the specials but here’s the thing I don’t mean Discord human counterpart but rather Discord from Equestria!

I think it would be amazing to have Discord from Equestria just suddenly turn up at CHS at his own will and given the type of magic he has he can actually do that if he wanted to. Plus it has shown multiple times that Discord can change his form at will. So seeing him become human it would be a piece of cake for him, heck we’ve seen him as a pony in “Twilight’s Kingdom” Some of you may ask why doesn’t he go to CHS then? One explanation is that he probably doesn’t know of its existence (yet) and even if he did the other explanation is that he doesn’t want to as it’s a world without magic it would be less ‘fun’ for him as he spreads chaos around in a world that does not have any magic thus making it seem too easy for him.

I know that it’s a bit of a stretch but I’d like to think that given the magic that’s leaking into CHS from Equestria and Discord having the ability to sense magic he could easily transport himself and remain incognito until he meets Sunset Shimmer and the Humane 6. I think that would be a brilliant thing to see happen and I hope that it does.

5. Alicorn Apple Bloom
This is very highly unlikely but it’s something that I would like to dream about at least. Through all of Apple Bloom’s episodes she has shown the same potential as Twilight that leads me to believe she will ascend into an Alicorn. Could it be this Season? Could it be Season 8? Will it actually happen? Like I side unlikely but I feel as though Apple Bloom deserves this to happen to her. Heck, I’d be really surprised that it happens but why should it happen? My question, why not?

She’s a great leader to the group, she learns from her mistakes and has grown a lot since the beginning of the show. There are plenty of reasons that makes me believe that she’s could likely become an Alicorn.

For one “Crusaders of the Lost Mark” after Diamond Tiara runs off after losing the election Apple Bloom was the one to suggest watch over her. Despite everything that she did to Apple Bloom the most she has shown compassion and understanding to her worst enemy and still wants to help her.

That says a lot about how great a character Apple Bloom is she’s truly something special since “Bridle Gossip” I felt as though the writers have something big planned out for her aside from her cutie mark and I feel that this could just be it.

Heck, she even got to write a letter to Princess Celestia by herself, which other crusader do you recall writing a friendship report to the Princess on their own?

Whether something like this happens in show I would love it even more but at the moment it does seem unlikely and may never happen but again this is something that I like to dream about if anypony I feel rightfully deserves to become an Alicorn Princess and join the ranks of the other Princesses I’d pick Apple Bloom, hoofs down.
