    Finally got my laptop back

Long story short, my dad borrowed my laptop in order to back up some data, which means that I have been unable to use it for the past week and a bit. Which means that I've been unable to write. Throw in the fact that I want to nuke all the progress I've made on the latest chapter of King of Chaos, and that means I have no work to show you.

Abandonded fic idea—Ponies Play Blood Bowl

The other week I was going through my xbox games, when I saw my old copy of Blood Bowl. Having not played it in about... 4 years? I think, I decided to whip it out and give it a try.

Wherein I make vague promises to update my fics.

So, I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I have six stories on the go at the moment. I also have about 20+ (not an exageration—no, really. I could start a business selling story ideas) ideas for more stories in my head, and it is really tempting to just keep starting and never finishing stories. Just like everything else I do in life.

I'm so sorry · 7:33pm Sep 28th, 2012

First up, an apology. I am putting Twilight's Voyage on hiatus. Sorry to everyone who was enjoying it. All 1 chapters of it.

But why, Prof? I hear you ask.

Because I just finished writing chapter 2, and I hated it. Not as in "damn this needs a serious edit" but as in "kill it with fire!"

3000 words and two weeks of effort, and I hate the result. The dialoge is stiff and uninspiring, I am trying to juggle the actions of 9 characters, some of whom I don't know that well, certain charcters have their characterisations all over the place, with no consistancy, I keep leaving secondary characters (spike, angel, the CMC's) out because I have too many characters already and last but not least, I have no idea where the plot is going.

Oh, and I also wrote Discord in both far too early and as "chaotic/neutral good" rather than "non-violent omnipotent asshole".

I began writing Twilight's Voyage as an exercise in world building, with no real focus on the plot. Well, I finished most of the world building at the end of the first "data file" chapter. With no well though out plot, the story is going nowhere. I have a few ideas for late game stuff, but nothing inbetween now and then.

So I need to sit down and have a big long think over where I want to take the story. And that means sticking it on hiatus for a while, and possibly rewriting the first chapter (although I might not and just leave it as is).

I am very sorry about this.

If you wish to read chapter 2 (against my advice), in all its horrible glory, I copy/pasted it into a google docs, however, I haven't formated it so its a little wall-of-texty.

My Little Evangelion should update before next week, asuming my proof-reader gets back to me, Temple of the Moon Queen is also close to an update, and Mystery (inc) will update before christmas. I am not realy feeling inspired on that one, but I am keeping it active regardless.

Twilight's Voyage on hiatus :applecry:

but as long as you update the other stories, i'm ok with this:twilightsheepish:

391811 Thanks for the understanding. I just need to sort out in my head where it is all going, and between all the stuff happening in my life at the moment, i don't know how long it will take. So rather than have you wonder at where the updates are, I thought I should just make a clear break to keep everything on the level.
