    Edited Brave new World

This is just a quick heads up to any fans of my first fanfic, I decided to change the Lamia to Changelings. I did this partly because I wanted to make a G1 reference, partly because I had trouble visualizing the Lamia, and partially because I found them forgettable.

    Optilestia

As anyone who has read my fic Transformers Prime: A Brave New World knows, I am a fan of crossover shipping, particularly Optimus Prime x Princess Celestia. I both find the idea of characters from different universes hooking up amusing, and think Prime and Celestia would at least be close friends if they met, considering their similar life experiences. This is both a warning that all of my

    Oops...

For all those who already read chaoter 2 of my fic Return to Equestria, I had to edit the end of the first schene. Why? I remembered one small detail: the Autobots have a huge ship. Sorry about that:fluttershysad:. It's not a gigantic change, but the next chapter might be a bit confusing.

    Equestrian got big

Season 5 may have had some issues, but one thing I felt it did well was making the world larger. Things like Griffonstone, the Yacks, the delegates in Princess Spike, Starlight'so town, the background ponies (even though some of that was fanservice), and the return to Manehattan all made Equestrian feel much larger to me, and I really like that; I felt it made the world feel more alive (what is

What if the My Little Pony Season 6 finale was good? What if I was a writer for MLP and I helped improve the finale?

I just watched Belated Media's "what if the prequels were good?" series of videos, so I went and did the same thing to the Season 6 Finale because...I didn't like it very much. I'd write this in a real fanfiction, but I don't feel like I could do it justice, and I feel like it's communicated better in a conversational type thing like this.

So we open with Starlight Glimmer in sleeping bed, when a loud commotion outside wakes her up. She slowly gets out of bed and moves towards the door until she hears a loud screeching sound. She then runs to the door and throws it open to see Spike laying down and rubbing his head and Fluttershy sitting next to him. She asks what happens and Spike says he got hungry and went to get a gem to eat when he tripped over some furniture. When she asks about the scratching sound he explains that he tried to catch himself and scratched the walls. Fluttershy picks him up and says she'll take care of him, and Starlight goes back to sleep.

The next morning, she wakes up again and leaves her room, when she sees a scroll under a table. She picks it up and starts reading it, and from that scroll she discovers the main six were ambushed by changelings in the night and taken. Spike had gotten away and was writing a letter to Princess Celestia when, according to the scratch marks on the floor near the scroll, was captured too. She then sneaks around to the main room and sees basically what we saw in the actual episode, only this time, Chrysalis explains that A: the main seven managed to take out 20 of her best infiltrators, B: ONLY the main seven have been replaced, and C: this is a plan to kidnap the leaders of the world and an upcoming summit between Ember, the princesses, and Gilda, who has become leader of the gryphons (I'm going to call her the Chancellor because I like Otto Von Bismark). When the changelings ask Chrysalis what to do about Starlight, since they didn't know about her, she tells them to ignore her, since they're leaving later that day.

Starlight has a bit of a panic attack and dashes away. She packs some things and is about to leave the castle, when not-Twilight asks where she's going. Thinking quickly, Starlight says she's visiting a friend since the main seven will be leaving, and asks her if she doesn't remember. Not-Twilight almost panics, but then says something along the lines of "Oh right, I forgot! Silly me."

Starlight then leaves and runs to Trixie like in the real finale. This part plays out similarly where Discord and Thorax show up and form their little MLP Suicide Squad, but this time Starlight and Discord go to rescue the main seven and Thorax and Trixie go to intercept the changelings, since Thorax was also invited to this summit.

We then cut to Canterlot, where the fake main seven arrive, at roughly the same time that Thorax and Trixie do. Thorax confronts one of the changelings (the Spike changeling for specificity's sake) while Trixie distracts the others, and after a bit of back and forth, they realize they're kind of at an impasse. If not-Spike randomly accuses Thorax of being a fake, he'll look suspicious, but if Thorax randomly accuses the not-main seven of being changelings, he'll look equally suspicious. Not-Spike is also Thorax's former overseer.

We then meet Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and the other delegates to this summit, which, coincidentally, is about what to do with the changelings, which is why Thorax is here. We then have a montage of the changelings trying to kidnap the delegates and Thorax and Trixie stopping them; things such as one of the changelings trying to use a knock-out dart on Celestia (again, for specificity's sake) and Trixie "accidentally" trips her, but the dart hits a guard and knocks him out.

In the meantime, Starlight and Discord infiltrate the hive and it pretty much pays out like it did in the finale, with the two of them getting separated and Discord getting captured by not-Fluttershys.

Back in Canterlot, it's nighttime. Thorax tells Trixie he has an idea, but doesn't tell her too much, just that she needs to ask him how he met Spike. He then sneaks out, and Trixie hears a struggle in the next room. She rushes in with as Celestia arrived, followed by Ember and Gilda. In the room there are two Spikes, who both accuse the other of being a changeling. Trixie proposes they ask how Spike met Thorax, because only the real Spike would know. Not-Spike freezes, because he doesn't know, but Thorax tells them in minute detail. Upon seeing their agent has been discovered, not-Applejack rears up to attack Celestia, when Trixie blinds them all with bright flashy magic, Luna then emerges from the shadows and takes all of them out, while Celestia restrains the Spike Changeling.

Starlight then gets to Chrysalis' throne room, but instead of cracking a throne, she fires a magic bolt at the pods holding the main seven and Discord. She hits all but Discord's, enough to wake them all up, but not enough to free them immediately. She is then captured by changelings, but a moment later, the main seven are freed. The eight of them then fight the changelings and Chrysalis, but they are eventually surrounded. Chrysalis begins to gloat, but a moment later, a chunk of the ceiling explodes. Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Gilda, Ember, some gryphons and dragons, and a large number of guards charge through the hole. In the chaos, Startlight fires a magic blast at Discord's pod, freeing him at last.

A large battle then ensues, and Celestia and Chrysalis do battle yet again, but without Shining Armor's love, this fight is far more balanced. While the two fight, they begin throwing bits of building at each other, and eventually, Chrysalis seemingly backs Celestia into a corner. However, Luna and Shining armor then ambush Chrysalis and imprison her with a magical sphere. However, Chrysalis then orders her changelings to attack Cadence. This distracts Luna and Shining Armor, which allows her to break free. She then escapes with the majority of her hive through a tunnel; about 3/4ths of her hive for specificity's sake. The remaining changelings have been captured by dragons.

After regrouping, Thorax goes over to the lot of changelings, including his overseer and the not-main sis, and tells them essentially that Chrysalis is wrong and ponies give away love willingly citing that if they didn't he'd be dead. After a little more convincing they believe him and pledge their allegiance to him, which causes him to change into a changeling king, only one that looks good; essentially, I envision a slightly altered gender-bent Chrysalis. The changelings also change slightly, but still keep the general ascetic.

The group then turns their attention back to the fact that Chrysalis escaped. Gilda wants to give chase, but the others know she's probably out of their each, and their forces are too tired to carry on. Thorax however then tells them that they need to get ready, because next time Chrysalis returns, she'll have help.

So there it is, my season 6 finale. I also envision that my season 7 would expand on changelings, with different tribes headed by different rulers that feed (primarily) on different types of love; one might feed on the love of a child, for example, and another might feed on the love of parents. I also envision each of the main six having to meet one of these tribes and having the opening be seven parts instead of two. I know I'm no genius, or that great of a writer, but to me, the season 6 finale felt like a bit of a mess, and after watching the "what if the prequels were good?" this idea popped into my head. I also might make something like this for my version of season seven based on this ending if anyone would like to hear that.
