But, the add on to Gryphon Empire is complete. Hopefully the final scene explains a bit more and leads to a little more resolution to those who were unhappy with it.
More will be explained in the eventual sequel, but, for now, I need to work on the sequel to hopes and Follies. I'll working on editing and fixing up what I need to in the original once I am done with the first chapter, as going back and editing or adding onto my old stories seems to drain me faster than writing something new, and I need a break from it. 
Will get two chapters of the sequel done, then it's on to the next Mauxie fic. Hopefully mid to late this year I can work on the Empire sequel, but we'll see.
Also poking at a writer for a commission for a Trixdagio...however you wanna say that pairing. Since it would probably be awhile till I have the time to do it myself, figured I'd look at subcontracting for the fun of it. 
Hooray! I just read the ending of the last chapter and I feel much better about how the story concluded. The tone seems less bleak and there is enough of a peek into the next story to make it tantalizing. Admittedly, the king was a little expositiony but it helped smooth the edge of the plot to make way for the next part. I really feel now that there is room for a sequel.
Gryphon Empire may have ended with a cliffhanger, but by giving a glimpse of the next big drama point it feels like something new can be focused on even if all the drama from this installment still hadn't wrapped up.
It looks like you have a great line up for the year. I'm really looking forward to it! Good luck with finding a good author for a Trixidagio story. I know I'd read it.

Yeah, it couldn't really be helped sadly. I hadn't expected to show anything of the king's real motivations until the sequel, else I would have had an earlier scene in a earlier chapter to break up some of the exposition.
At least one arc is complete; Does Trixie make it to the king? Yes.
While it'll be awhile, the first few chapters of the next one should quickly answer most of the unanswered questions. The next one is going to be a lot less grim or dark, especially coming from the story it is inspired by.
Author is found, he just has been having some issues lately and needs to go over what I sent him on it. If he can't do it with the outline I sent then I'll just wind up putting it on my own back burner for the future since it is a story I have semi thought of writing off and on if I only could find the motivation to write more
Hey, Trixdagio, huh? Well, If you would write a fiction about Trixdagio, I maybe could draw it, though I'm not sure :D. But it would be awesome.
You know, if you're still in the planning stage for Hopes and Follies' sequel, it'd be a decent plot twist for Shining Armor to suddenly appear in a chapter and be an alicorn. Luna's work on a late wedding present for Cadance and Shining Armor now that she remembers the alicorn seed exists
