The name of the story · 1:18pm Feb 19th, 2017
So, I've been thinking about The Harmony League. In particular, I've been thinking about its name.
The original plot of the story was going to be the Justice League being reincarnated in the Mane 6 and Spike, hence why I wanted to call it The Harmony League. But that changed when I decided on one Hero Soul per series. I knew for a while now that the name was misleading because of that, and I'm now considering changing it.
My current idea is Hero Souls: Awakening.
Thoughts?
Now that you mention it... you do have a point and I kinda agree with what you say.
But that's only my opinion and I'm curious what others will say, too.
Also ultimately it's your story and your decision
Though I have to admit that Hero Souls sounds awesome
I agree, when I found the last few updates in my feed I had to first click to the story-page (to reread the synopsis) before clicking to the chapter-page. The possible new title you give sounds better and makes your story more recognizable.
Yeah. I have to admit, "Hero Souls: the Awakening" DOES sound like a better title, given the "One Hero Soul Per Universe" rule.
Just out of curiosity, if you DID go with your original plan to have the Mane Six and Spike each bear the soul of a Justice Leaguer, which ones would you have gone for (beyond, obviously, Superman for Twilight)?
I'm going to go out on a limb with some of these guesses:
Batman: Rarity (detective instincts [shown in at least one canon episode], martial arts [shown in a couple of canon episodes], upper class leanings)
Wonder Woman: Applejack (use of a rope, [usual] emphasis on honesty, canonically the physically strongest of the main heroes)
Green Lantern: Pinkie Pie (considering that, most of the time, her abilities DO seem only limited by her imagination)
The Flash: Rainbow Dash (I mean, duh)
Aquaman: Fluttershy (her general knack with animals expanded to a flat-out telepathic link [which, in itself, would ALSO be expanded from merely aquatic animals to animals in general], plus being able to breathe underwater and being strong and durable enough to withstand ocean bottom pressures would be a big help in treating sea creatures if she needed to)
Martian Manhunter: Spike (stranger in a strange world, but still having a good heart. Plus the Martian would be the one best equipped for keeping up with Superman, who inhibits Twilight's body)
Of course, any (if not all of these) could be wrong. And, since you didn't go with your original plan, it's a moot point anyway.
That does work.

Twilight Sparkle/Superman
Applejack/Green Lantern
Pinkie Pie/The Flash
Rainbow Dash/Martian Manhunter
Fluttershy/Hawkgirl
Rarity/Batman
4428287 and Spike would get Wonder Woman.
4428379 Okay. Thanks very much. I really appreciate that. I was wrong on all but one guess, but that's cool.
4428380 Gotcha. Thanks again.
Personally, I wouldn't put the awakening in the title. It sounds more like an arc name than a story name. Unless you plan on making separate stories for each major arcs?
Also, does that mean that villains have dark souls? And are a bit hollow?
4428700 There's three stories that are planned. The first story deals with the Hero Souls awakening and their affect on the Mane 6.
4428379 I take it that the story takes place several centuries after Superman died on Earth, otherwise it would mean everyone died around the same time . . . which is a bit unconvincing. (unless you have some background stories to back it up)
4445252 The original idea? That was one of the reasons why i scrapped it. The only way I could get all seven of them together was if I killed them all off at the same time.
4428380 If Spike would turn into dragoness whenever he activated his power, it would be hirarious!
4445582 Because from Clark Kent's last moment, it did not sound like a war going on. A couple of the Justice League are not Earthling, so it would be logical for them to last longer than human. Heck, I think it would be OK to have Bruce died from old age. At least, Bruce's memory might give Clark a peace of mind to know what happened after his death.
4445252 Oh, I get what you mean! No, the only Hero Soul that came from DC was Clark Kent, so there's no need to contemplate who died when in that world.
For the sake of my, and I presume your, peace of mind, assume that each universe is separate from each other Time-wise. Otherwise I'd have to micromanage timelines, and that's a can of worms I'd rather not open, especially considering I'm working on the infamous season one of MLP:FiM at the moment.
