Now that we've got that out of the way, I'm liking these character designs, though Capper definitely looks like he walked out of another cartoon.

My only hope for this movie is that it doesn't act TOO childish. I want to see this movie tackle mature themes, have a few dark moments, and have a compelling and emotional story. I'm hoping it has fun, too. I've heard there's going to plenty of songs, so that's a plus. So, my hopes are up seeing the new villain. Maybe he'll be an actual threat like Tirek was.

We can only wait now.

I actually saw this first on EQD but... I'm not sure what to say.

At first yeah Capper seemed out of place but I had to remember the animation will be different. As for Tempest Shadow at first I was paying too much to her nonexistent horn but now I've looked at her attire.

The characters look interesting. But I honestly have no idea of what to expect from this.

Oooho, she's a seapone. Okay that makes sense now. Discount Tirek looks cool and Liev is always a good time. Hopefully we'll get some hype ass broken horn lore!

As for the bipedal cat... that's kinda weird. Sittin' a little too close to the anthro tag for my liking.

4417095 A little to close? I would say they really crossed over it with that cat. The Minotaur's where believable, they fit well with the overall aesthetic of the show. Diamond dog's where flirting with that anthro line. While they had many characteristic's of dogs I think there was enough difference that it wasnt so in your face. That cat however sticks out like a sore thumb amongst all the poni poni poni.

The rest of the characters are intriguing. It will be interesting if we get more background info on the Tirek clone and there people. The comic explored it a little, but it was still rather lacking. Sea poni makes me wary. I liked what the comic did to a point, have to wait and see what the movie is going to do. And that broke horn, that something really interesting. Have yet to see that explored in show.

Is that the centaur king (like Tirek) or windego king (white fur)? It looks like the combination of land, jungle, mountain and sea in one single movie. How can they fix all the plots within 2 hours?

All I have to say about Princess Skystar is... Shoo-be-doo, shoo-shoo-be-doo.

The Storm King resembles the Yeti from "Party Pooped." Maybe he's their leader from north of the Crystal Empire but south of Yakyakistan...

I'm calling it right now: Tempest Shadow's the Storm King's right-hand mare who sees the light about what he truly is and switches sides at a crucial moment. Capper's a trickster who pretends to be on the ponies' side, but actually works for the Storm King. He may also have a moment of enlightenment and join the Light Side.

EDIT: I just noticed Tempest's broken horn! That's sure to be a motivator for her to be on the Dark Side.
