Slight chapter delay · 3:00am Feb 10th, 2017
My regular readers know that I have a schedule of one chapter every 3-4 days. I prefer to stick to this as it helps me finish stories instead of leaving behind a sea of unfinished stories, or have one story that gets like, one chapter every 3 months. Unfortuantly, there will be a 1 day delay in chapters. See, way back in early access I bought a copy of Ark: Survival Evolved, hoping it would be fun. It was not. But it is now! Huzzah!
I got a little excited and did nothing but play it for three days straight. So I'm sitting on half a chapter now instead of the usual "all of a chapter". I'll finish it tonight sometimes, but by the time I do there wouldn't be enough time for popmannn to edit it. You can expect a chapter tomorrow, or Saturday if he's busy with something tomorrow.
Now, in my defense, this delay is due to having a game wherein you can have a goddamn dinosaur laser fight. In Space. While that doesn't excuse breaking a schedule, it does explain why satisfactorily.
We've all been there. In fact, I am in a constant state of being there, and have since I was 7 years old.
With your quality chapters it shall be forgiven... XD We have all been there, I'm just glad you are enjoying yourself. Besides you are informing everyone about the delay, that, already, is far better than many authors. ^^ Once I'm not super busy I'll be catching up on your stories, and I know I will have a lot to read/catch up on. :\
I love that game!
Ooohh. I've got that as well, my first few days of it were... yes. But the rest were great! After the horrific massacre that was the first twenty or so spawns.
They finally added lasers and space?
Back when I played the most advanced thing was a turret, and they had just added swamps when a couple of hackers joined the server and killed everybody with head shots from BVR, then destroyed everything we built with thousands of charges of C4.
That's what I get for playing on the official servers, I guess.
4416212 Don't worry! Take your time :)
Heh heh, literally every time I've been awake and at home while she was awake, she was in-game. I even reminded her about her self imposed deadline last night. I knew this would happen.
4416341 Never ever play public. Only private. Also the game's always been in space. That's Earth's moon, and it's angular size shows you to be about 3/4ths of the way to it from Earth. There's also a force field keeping the air in. If you fly up enough, you'll hit it, it's not an invisible wall either, you can see a haze/distortion. You're on some kind of orbiting megastructure.
4416362
I knew all that. I thought you meant outside of an atmosphere.
4416545 You may have an atmosphere, but I'd argue that any given megastructure is in space, as far as "having gone to space" matters. You know, exception to custom built planets alla Hitchhiker's Guide >>
4416357 Wait I thought Meep lived with her girlfriend, do you live there as well?
4417438 I do live with my girlfriend :D
4417438 Skype man, Skype... Meep is in Fairbanks, I am in San Deigo. Only a few thousand miles betwixt us...
4417496 It would be cool if you did live here though.
4417416
If you're in a place which retains its own atmosphere and has a natural gravity well, you're as not in space as it gets. :3
4417704 I disagree. The difference between being in space and not being in space is pedantic, as EVERYTHING is in space. Therefore the term is arbitrary, but in common usage to the point where it means "On a natural structure with an atmosphere".
4417803
Ah, I'm used to the term being used in the context of spaceflight, and there's strong physical differences between how craft move through atmosphere and in gravity wells, and how they move in 0atm and microgravity.
It's a functional difference, rather than a technical one. :D
4417968 I can agree to that... But it just seems silly to me to use the term 'in space' when we are on a thing that is in space. It's more accurate to say 'We are embarked upon Earth'.
