So... October 1st is soon. OH SO SOON.
I need help. For the past several weeks I've been planning to do a thing called '31 days of Nightmare Night', in which I would post a horror one-shot once a day every single day starting October 1st up until Halloween.
And I'm running low on ideas. Coming up with ideas is harder than putting them on paper! DX

Okay, so it has to be a one-shot. Well how about Twilight accidentally turns one of her friends into a monster when experimenting with science and magic. Her friend's mind is dormant, meaning this monster will simply act on its impulses and so Twilight sends Spike, Rarity and Applejack to capture the Monster, either Pinkie or Fluttershy. Story could be told from various angles, have monster picking off each of her friends, until Twilight finally arrives to fix everything.

Oh! I have one! And sculptor, who is not the main character, moves into town and begins crafting these extremely lifelike statues, but they all have some offputting detail about them, like all their eyes are instead just sewn-on buttons. I dunno. Anyway, the statues become increasingly morbid and macabre as the story progresses and the main character begins to worry.
Eventually, it all leads up to the artist opening a museum before killing himself or something, then as the main character browses through, the final, most disturbing statue of all is their best friend. Or something.
I'm just tossing this here, I don't even.
