So that awful awful story I said I was going to do a reading of?
Bloody damn file corrupted because the reading was so long and my laptop had a seizure moment while processing the data! Bollocks!
Then again, literally twenty minutes of the reading was me ranting and raving why it was so bad so...shit, I'll have to do it again at a later date. So not only have I no Valentines this year, I have that awful crappy story to look forward to again.
I'll reward a thousand shiny golden British pound coins to anyone who comes to my house tonight and kills me.
at least I know that there is no way I am ever going to win those British coins. Unique don't let anyone kill you. (phone rings)

Was the whole thing in one recording file? If so, I'd recommend doing it in bits. That's what I do. Then again I haven't uploaded a reading in over a year. :v

Was it the file that was corrupted, or did your recording program simply crash? If you use Audacity, there's actually a temporary file in your system available to restore it if you don't go recording to much all over again, and there's a program I use called Audacity Recovery Utility to consolidate it into a .wav and retrieve it whole and intact.
If it's the former, well, brother, it happens. And it really, really sucks! Imagine if you had recorded for an hour and a half, though. That would've been even worse.
I hope you didn't make any plans to visit your dead relatives, because those pounds are staying where they are. I hope. Still haven't found any cameras near your residence to use for surveillance, the ones that are near enough are close circuit so I can't get to them remotely. BTW, you should invest in an exterior camera or two. No reason.
