My Writing groove for the Return of Doctor Whooves is back! · 8:53pm Feb 4th, 2017
Yep, that's right, my depression about not getting many views for the story is evaporated, burnt to dust, exterminated, you might say... And I owe it all to Hail King Sombra, (Seriously, give this guy a follow, and check out his Doctor Who crossover, it is excellent!) who gave me this verbal Gibbs Slap.
Write the story because YOU want to and because it is important YOU, not to anyone else. That way, while views and comments still matter, they won't matter enough to make you this depressed. And NEVER compare them or yourself to other's stories...that is not fair to you. Others may have more readers, or more avid readers or they might just be better writers - whatever the case, you are not giving yourself the credit you deserve for getting your story published and as far as it has come.
I have a Doctor Who crossover story as well with close stats to yours - 25 likes/4 dislikes. You have triple the number of comments and you obtained that with a story that is NINE MONTHS newer than mine! Am I depressed because you have more? No. I'm not because both our stories NEED to be told. They have a life of their own to live and we are giving them that life.
That is NEVER anything to be depressed about.
Anyways, I'm writing the third part of Primal Instinct now, although I am a bit concerned because of the character I'm introducing in it. This is probably one of the craziest and downright stupidest things I've ever done in writing a story, and will probably make it jump the shark, but I'll only know once the chapter is out and I get your opinions on it. But, even if this character I'm introducing does put you off, I will tell you that the Doctor will get plenty of screentime so to speak and the TwiDash shipping will officially be doubled. So... Geronimo.
I'm glad you feel better! I cant wait to see Primal Instinct part III!
4409437 Oh, it'll be out soon. This is where things get really crazy for the Doctor and company.
I'm glad you're feeling better.
