    *eye roll*

me checking the dislike ratio on my new story

Glad to know bigotry is still alive and well in this fandom.

It's glad to see some of us didn't watch the same series as I did.

    So where I've been

Okay, uh... how do I begin this? Well, I suppose I should start with the obvious. Yes, I've been distracted. If you follow me on Archive that should be obvious. And if you don't, you totally should btw. Yes, I'm shameless.

Been a hell of a ride, honestly. I just apologize for dragging it on for so long.

Yep, still depressed... · 7:09pm Feb 3rd, 2017

Yeah, I'm still depressed with the lack of views and comments on the Return of Doctor Whooves. What really hurts now is knowing that there are more Doctor Who crossovers with more likes, comments and views then this one, and my view count keeps dropping like flies, and no one will tell me what exactly turned them off the story to begin with, or what they find interesting about it.:fluttershyouch: To be honest, the thought of canceling the damn story several times already, something I never promised to do with any of my stories, especially ones that were once some of my favorites to write, has crossed my mind entirely. But seeing people lose interest in a story and stop commenting just makes me think people don't care any more and makes me lose my motivation for writing bit by bit. Sorry if I sound like I'm whining or crying for attention, but I needed to get this off my chest before I completely explode and lose my temper at somebody.:fluttershysad: ...I... I don't want this story to go.:fluttercry:

4408175 Well, when it's been up for several months and has over 50,000 words in it and yet there are Doctor Who crossovers with less words and likes than mine that are more popular in terms of views, one begins to wonder...

Good things come in time. Every author here had a small start on this site. Don't think negatively about yourself or your stories it will only make you feel worse.

Been there buddy.

Ho oh. Calling on Pinkie! Depressed Brony in needs of snuggles!

Write the story because YOU want to and because it is important YOU, not to anyone else. That way, while views and comments still matter, they won't matter enough to make you this depressed. And NEVER compare them or yourself to other's stories...that is not fair to you. Others may have more readers, or more avid readers or they might just be better writers - whatever the case, you are not giving yourself the credit you deserve for getting your story published and as far as it has come.

I have a Doctor Who crossover story as well with close stats to yours - 25 likes/4 dislikes. You have triple the number of comments and you obtained that with a story that is NINE MONTHS newer than mine! Am I depressed because you have more? No. I'm not because both our stories NEED to be told. They have a life of their own to live and we are giving them that life.

That is NEVER anything to be depressed about.

4408431 Thanks, to be honest, that kinda was the most helpful advice I've received on this from any of those you answers. Genuinely, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

4408208 Thanks guys, can always rely on you. There's a reason I consider you two to be some of my best friends on this site, alongside Hail King Sombra, Sudoku Brony, RealisticHorseNoises, HopefortheFew, Ender Knight Reborn GX, Manaphy, Son Elec, JoeyJambo, Eon33M5 and Draconic Xeno.

Been there with more than a few stories when I first started out on fanfiction.net but here's some advice, keep moving forward.

If you worry on your current progress, then you won't be able to proceed forward with it. Believe me, I fell into that trap multiple times before I learned that lesson.

So keep moving forward and in the future, when you look back, you'll be surprised by how much you did.

4409430 Should be out soon. Got it written (Mind you, there's one piece of music I'm not sure fits the scene it's used in, but I honestly can't find anything that works better.)
