Just asking here about an animation related question... · 5:10pm Feb 3rd, 2017
Okay, I'm just curious here, but do any of you know of any animation programs that can be bought cheap, or better yet, for free and that are easy to learn how to use and understand. I'm only asking because I want to make better animations, as you can see from the video below my animation needs work.
So, any suggestions?
There's Source Film Maker if you have Steam.
4408078 And how much would Steam cost? (Also, sorry to go off topic here, but how come I haven't been getting any comments from you on the Return of Doctor Whooves... Honestly, it's view count has dropped so low that I'm beginning to wonder if anyone actually cares about it anymore.)
4408079 Steam is free to download, same with Team Fortress 2. (I still care, and there hasn't been much for me to talk about. I'm still intrigued, don't worry).
4408096 Yeah, I just downloaded steam, and source filmmaker as well, although getting MLP stuff into my collection for it is getting to be harder than you might think, as I don't have any images that are less than 2MB for my collection page image to even create one.
4408096 No offence, but not finding anything to comment about in the latest chapters kinda hurts a bit. I mean, what, we've had The Doctor getting possessed by Abaddon, Missy showing up AGAIN, and the cameo of the War Doctor. I mean, how can you not find any of that stuff interesting to comment on?
I've talk with some students who does a little bit of animation and most of them are using the softwares include with Mac computers. But Mac books are pretty expensive and besides people are saying they are becoming bad.
Anyway, since you download Steam and SFM, here is a link to some pony content to use with. You can also try Garry's Mod, also on Steam. This one you must pay for it, but wait until it's sold at one or two dollar.
4408167 Yeah, the problem with Steam and Movie Source Maker is I haven't quite figured out how to use it. I'm basically useless with computers. Put it this way. Give me a Lego related question or one about writing or classic rock, I can answer it, but anything technical, I'm lost beyond starting something up and downloading it.

Well I saw your little clip video here and you doing pretty well with stock motion animation.
For SFM, here are some tutorial videos, some oriented for pony animation.

As for Steam, it's pretty intuitive. Browse a bit and you should get the jest of it. Although if you start paying/downloading games, I strongly recommend you to put them on another drive, cause they can quickly eat your main drive space.
4408180 Yeah, I would if I had the money for another drive and money for games in general, as there are some good ones on there (Cough) Lego Worlds (Cough) And thanks for the tutorial vids and the link to the pony content!
4408165 Guess it has to do with R.I.F.T gaining my interest more than the Doctor's. And I did love that War Doctor cameo since the late John Hurt left us.
4408222 Oh, you'll be getting at least one more line from War, and as for R.I.F.T, they have at least one to two more episodes for them, plus they appear at the end of Primal Instinct
