JCPBLG-711429 | Lloyd Marcus | American Tea Party | JCP Records · 11:58am Feb 1st, 2017

My fellow Americans! Not too crazy about anyone Trump's putting in the cabinet? Here's someone more entertaining then all of them put together: an ultra-conservative black man! Who can sing like a Motown star! We truly live in an age of wonders.

Lloyd starts off this 2009 release dealing, like any good politician, in generalities - stuff that anyone can get behind. He even takes a swing at Louis Armstrong's chestnut "Wonderful World." But then you get two back-to-back bits of hilarity, the somewhat baffling (and thoroughly dated) "Twenty Ten," and his "My Girl" parody, where Marcus sings the praises of the likes of Sarah Palin and the already-forgotten Michelle Bachman. Classic. Just the thing to 'take back America' to the good ol' days of slavery, segregation, lynchings... "What a wonderful country this is!"

But hey, if nothing else, he is a pretty decent singer. A patriotic round of applause for our representative from the great state of Utah, Windbag, for sending us this one.

Are you aware that it was the DEMOCRATS who were the party of "slavery, segregation and lynching?" The Republicans do not, and never did support these things.

4405411 Are you aware that, well, the opposite has been the case since the Nixon administration?

The Nixon Administration broke the KKK and enforced the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Tell me, which Republicans were in favor of "slavery, segregation and lynching?"

4405447 It isn't clear as to WHICH Republicans were in favor of all that, but Nixon himself made several recordings where he is revealed to have been an anti-Semetic, devious, dishonest man; while they were intended to be kept from public ears, they were found YEARS after he resigned from office. For evidence, please search across the internet. Prepare to be horrified.

Shifting goalposts. We were discussing anti BLACK racism, not anti-Jewish racism. And it's doubtful, given Nixon's record in 1973, that he was as functionally anti-semitic as is Obama.

I would also like to point out that it is today the Democrats who make excuses for slavery, segregation, and lynchings. Slavery, in the form of Muslim enslavement of blacks and other non-Muslims in Africa; segregation, in the form of segregated college dorms and safe spaces; and lynchings, in the calls by black radical groups for the murders of people like Zimmerman and today our president. These are among the reasons I am glad I am not a Democrat.
