Hunt and Toll rough draft complete · 6:15am Sep 26th, 2012
I honestly have no idea how I got this whole thing out so fast. I just felt like writing tonight and cranked out about 4000 words in 3 hours. Not very fast for some writers, but unheard of for me. As of now, it sits at 12600 words, though I feel like that number might go down a wee bit. Who knows, though?
Here's a little sample from it:
I leapt in place, desperately scanning the room for signs of an invader. The scientists continued to bicker. Was it the Hunt I heard? Turning my back to the three other ponies in the room, I examined the wall behind me. Still nothing. I straightened my ears, listening for the voice to return, or perhaps a growl. The room seemed to shrink around me and I started panting. It was almost like I could feel sharp teeth on my neck and a hot, foul breath across my coat. It had to be here. It had to be the Hunt.
Ooooh, suspense! I'm so melodramatic.
