No you're not the only one. I do it every now and then and when I do, I sometimes find mistakes or a thought of wishing I had added something during a certain chapter.
I do it every couple of months. Not skim over them but actually read them like they're someone else's work. It's a great editing method even after you've published as you're more likely to find mistakes after spending time away from the story. And I don't know about you, but my stories always need more work!
