So I'm debating here. I don't know if I want to take "Quickwrench Who?" along the path of FIM cannon as I had originally intended, or if I want to allow the story to go into the much larger and somewhat darker world that my imagination keep insisting on...

I usually prefer canon... but it all depends on the mode of the story... if it's light go canon, If it's dark go imagination, your story do what you think is better.
383381 That's the way I've been leaning, it just means tweaking a few details in the chapters already written, which was why I've been holding off. (Nothing really critical, just adding a few details that weren't there so I canreference back to them later.) I also want to make sure it hasn't been done completely to the death yet.
