Ok folks, this is hard for me to swallow. Obviously several people consider the first chapter, How you say sucky..
Yeah i get it, yes i understand. I am editing it tomorrow. Hopefully bringing more people to look at it. I am most likely going to open a can of worms, but whatever. The thing is when I started this thing, I had a lot of passion for what I wanted to do, but sadly passion isn't enough. I have also gotten a comment about Faust. And I will rectify some of the confusion there. The reason why I chose to not fully mention about her and give some backstory on her is because if you know who Lauren Faust is then you would understand. Also, I planned on fully doing a reveal. Cause trust me there is some information in this story that comes into play later on.
For those who aren't aware, She is the one writing the My Little Pony show. So, let me tell you how I see her. She wrote the world, She is the Mother of the Princesses. She is the Creator. Which means in my opinion, She is just like an Alicorn. She is the most powerful Alicorn in existence. And She also is responsible for the whole Universe.
Thanks of course to a good friend of mine who I just recently met a few days ago, I am taking his advice very seriously. Isn't it kinda funny that sometimes our ideas always change and then there is the whole idea of change. When I created this story, I will be honest with you. It was meant to satisfy a curiosity of mine. I mean who hasn't dreamed of going to Equestria. But, I also know that when people read a story they wish to be entertained. Well, apparently people are following me and my story and they seem to enjoy it. So I will continue.
Let's be honest folks, I know for a fact this is a self insert, I mean no offense but we get a lot of those. But it all comes down to one thing. Do you want to create a story around you or your character or Do you want to create a story that will satisfy others? Well, For me the story that I am writing feels more like a personal journey, and if people don't wish to read it, I understand wholeheartedly. In my opinion, I love Self inserts. I mean everyone here has most likely felt or asked themselves one Question. The biggest one of all. What do you do if you ever got a chance to go to Equestria, and What would you do there when you got there?
Well that's 2 questions. But still, this is why we write fan fictions. They are meant to satisfy our curiosities, They are meant to make us feel good about oneself. They are meant to entertain, and to me that's what this is all about. And while I know I will have many critics, who will nitpick all day, in the end however it's ultimately in the writer's hands what they feel like doing. I am glad for all the feedback. I know it has not been easy.
This community is amazing, the works and ideas that one can get is awe inspiring. So for those of you who think that it's not worth writing, I say to you don't sell yourself short. True, at first you may not receive a lot of positive feedback, but those are just stepping stones. With each try you can only get better. I am so happy that i have people who have taken the time to leave comments. I know this story can be good.
So, now comes the question. Do I really need to change my First chapter or Do I just focus on making more? Obviously, I need to fix it. But at the same time, I am torn. True, my first story does need revisions. Heck, the other chapters are a bit more fleshed out. I feel that i am improving more as I write. Not bad for an old coot like myself lol. Especially since I sucked in English classes.
While I may rant or complain sometimes, it happens to us all. I am going to fix the chapter and damn the consequences. Also, I am curious what your opinions are when I did Discord and the Princesses. I won't lie, I have been making Discord a bit more servant like. However, Discord is the God of Chaos after all. Who knows what the guy is thinking.
