Schedule Update and Story Review

Hey guys,

I have an announcement to make. I have decided after a little debate with myself to postpone the release date of "I am Not a Pony". I was actually debating on whether to cancel it outright or not because before I could release it this weekend, another story like it was released.

It's called, "Mission of Mercy" by Trick Question. I encourage you to check it out, it's real awesome. Deals with depression and has hints of said causal of depression which I won't get into here.

Now, my story was going to cover those exact same issues, but I'll have to revise what I have to make it different enough to not be considered plagerizing. My overall message was going to be different, and my motivations for writing my piece were going to be different, but I don't want to risk it now that I've read Trick's story. Don't worry, my work will be my own. I've got an idea for what I want to do with it that will give it its own voice.

I needed to write this piece because there is someone in my life I know right now that is suffering from constant depression. I needed to show him that it's okay for him to have a friend, one that isn't going to just walk away from him at the drop of the hat. I do need to write this because I think it affected one of my other stories a bit. Hehe. Not in a bad way mind you.

I know I am rambling on and on, but my point is, Trick Question deserved a shout out for writing such a cute and wonderful story. It has touched my heart in the same way that I hope mine do with each and every one of my stories touches yours.

Now in its place, this week I have for you Cuddle Sweet Cuddle, coming to you this weekend, or possibly sooner. I will simply release it when I finish it. I have a feeling it'll get a little bit of a buzz from all its cuteness. Afterall, what's not cute about a couple of foals such as Pound and Pumpkin Cupcake. So cute. Also, it is partly inspired by Boss Baby, although I plan on going on a more personal path. Tehe.

Also, good luck on showing your friend that not everyone would walk away. Many depressed people feel alone even if they have people in their life, trust me, I'd know. I'm surprised I never commented here, but you don't have to worry about plagiarism. If you think something is too close to another story, you might say "inspired by" or "unrelated to a similar story" if that helps.
