Not the thing about Retribution, but even mentioning that botched abortion, exorcism and genocide all in one to anything worth at least remembering.

That book was amazing, and I was hyped for the movie. Needless to say when it came out... whoooo lawdy, I was ashamed, angry, pissed. Too many emotions to accurately describe my fury.

never gotten an S rank on any RE game

I've gotten an S rank on RE5 on both easy and medium, then again that game is pretty easy compared to RE4 and some others. RE6 is stupid easy.

4386904 The book was incredible. I had a bootleg copy on my kindle when I got it. I actually didn't know about the movie until it had already been out for a while. Obviously, I should be on reddit's out of the loop sub... The old school games are WAY different than the newer ones. RE3 is an absolute freaking masterpiece, even compared to RE4, which is also a freaking masterpiece. The GC remake of RE is fun, but it's a lot harder. RE director cut is pretty cool, if a bit more challenging. RE2 is really really short, compared to the rest of them, but it kinda requires you to play it 4 times at least to really play it. It's made of 2 different scenarios featuring Leon and Claire in both of them. Really, quite fun.

I have the paperback book, its worn and torn a bit but its still good to read.
I didn't even watch the movie until last year, and even then... an hour of my life wasted on a movie that isn't anything remotely like the book.
I would so love to get my hands on the OG games, get myself some hard copies of them. They're expensive as fuck though, worth it however, considering its one of my most favorite gaming franchises aside from COD, Sly Coopers, GTA and Pokemon. I played the RE3 Nemesis Demo and it was awesome, still scares me to this day XD hahaha. I know pretty much everything about the games, having poured through the wiki countless times (I'm on there now actually studying 1998 for a story I'm writing on here) I freaking love it! And I bet they're fun, old school games like that always are.

4386913 I have never had paperbacks because they would fall apart. The hardcovers did too, but they lasted longer at least. I used to have a small bookshelf of books I loved and the hardcovers on them all had fallen off and some of the bindings were falling apart, so some of them were actually just piles of papers. It's not fun when someone asks to read your original copy of Eragon and you hand them a pile of old paper and they look at you like you are crazy.I actually used to have copies of RE1 director's cut, RE2 and RE3. Didn't have RE CV, but I would have killed for it.

GTA5 is pretty fun, but real men play Vice City and even realer men play San Andreas...

And you did? Ahh man, I only have both Outbreak files, RE5 and 6, and Operation Raccoon City. Outbreak was incredible and what got me into the fandom as a whole, ahaha.

Bruh, I played the OG game, and San Andreas Only GTA game I managed to beat until GTA IV came alone, haha. What a game.
