IN WHICH SH!T DON'T HIT
We had a little dusting of snow last night. Only an inch, but it was enough to cause a delay in school start-time because The South. Northerners make fun of us for shutting down in even light winter weather. To them I say: It's not stupidity… at least not this time; it's economics – when winter is so rare (and getting rarer thanks to the global warming my fellow Southerners believe in about as much as they do evolution: that is, not at all) there's no incentive to invest in expensive plows, de-icers, snow tires, etc. It's the trade-off.
I've been "enjoying" the snow by staying indoors, drinking Mexican hot chocolate, and watching more Cowboy Bebop. Now about 2/3 through and it's still as good as when I first saw it 15 years ago. Like Roger Ebert said – it's not necessarily what you say, but how you say it.
Speaking of which, it's been a couple days now, so I guess I can say this – I'm very disheartened by how my latest Dazzlings story has been received… or rather, ignored. It always sucks when a story you put effort into doesn't get the attention you feel it deserves. I swear I'm capable of writing things besides depressed Sunset Shimmer!
This site really needs a way to indicate prequels (like it already does with sequels).
