The World on Fire · 3:50pm Jan 1st, 2017

I waste so much time on writing essays and background material and worldbuilding shit for the Borderworld instead of actually writing chapters. So much, in fact, that some of my Skype friends have begun referring to me as Danny Jidya, because I uncover and explain the DEEPEST LORE. I blame Posh for that name. Fuck you, Posh. Fuck you and your Solid Snake adventures. When are you going to give the public Cupsnakes like we all want?

Anyway, this all to say, I wrote a worldbuilding essay about the setting of Fire Burning, explaining its religious customs, all the kingdoms and other nations, and the broad strokes history. A lot of it is just background material that won't be extremely relevant to the main story, but I think it adds some flavour to the world.

I plan to make a more spoiler-filled version in sixty years time when the story is actually complete, but this one I've just uploaded is a minimal spoiler version. If you've read up to date on the story, then this won't contain any earth-shattering revelations. Even if you haven't, I think it's generally okay. If you're really finicky about spoilers, or if you prefer to interpret the story of Fire Burning for yourself using only the actual fic rather than any lore documents, then that's fine. But it's there if you want it, and I don't consider it as spoiling anything really important, so check it out if you're interested.

Thanks for your time. New chapter coming soon.

No. Between Onision, Feminist Frequency, and Chris-Chan, I don't have anyone else I can patronize.

My money is valuable and I need to know that it's going to a good cause, and I'm just not sure that keeping you supplied with jarred onions and leather-bound copies of the Marquis de Sade's library is a good cause.

I'd rather Usurp the Fire thank you very much
