As 2016 dies its slow, 24-hour long death, I thought I'd look back on what I've accomplished this year:
• 20 published stories
• 11 published Dueling Keyboards shorts
• 8 Writeoff entires, one of which won its contest
• 1 newly published minific collection
• 1 newly created AU with associated group and several other contributing authors
• Over 100,000 words written
• 43 Friendship is Card Games blogs
• Hundreds of cards created
• Hundreds of new followers
• 1 college degree
• 1 car
• 1 job
Don't get me wrong, there has been a lot to be upset about this year, from the acid bath of the election to celebrity deaths coming in thirties. But it's nice to take a moment to look back on the positives, and they're definitely there to be found.
At the time of posting this, there's about 75 minutes of this year left in my time zone. Here's hoping 2017 will have at least as much to celebrate and far less to mourn.
2016 is a bitch that's dead to me, and the moment 2017 starts acting up i'mma get a half brick inna sock and beat it until it starts acting more like 2011, you with me?
You sir seem to have had an impressive year.
I managed to survive. And thats about it.
Congrats on all you achieved, and here's hoping it doesn't stop here.
I didn't think 2016 was so bad, but I am nonetheless stoked for 2017, and hoping it'll be better.
