Castlemania will be a music video style animation using the song 'Time Will Tell' by T.Stebbins (actually, it will be an altered, more upbeat version of the song provided by Tripy998). There'll be a bit of a story to the video; Unique awakens back into the world of mortals as a child of the night - a vampony. He must go to the deathtrap that is Castlemaneia and confront its vile overlord and the one responsible for turning him into a monster, the evil Count Crimson Mist.
The animation will feature references to the Castlevania games, such as Alucard's intro sequence from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, to memorable reoccurring boss enemies popping up in the background. Also, I'm going to hold a contest for you all to try if you're interested.
I want to put a cool picture of Unique dressed as a vampire at the end of the video. If you wish to participate in the contest, draw a picture as such (must be colored, and you can have a background or not) and the best drawing will be featured in the video, along with a link to any sites you wish people to check out.
You'll have until the end of January to send in your pictures, so there is no major rush. You'll have plenty of time to draw something up. Any drawings you do can be pencil or digital, and you'll have to send them to this address

I hope you'll consider watching the video when it's done. I aim to have it ready around March. That's two months I'll have to get the animation done, so there's a lot of hard work waiting for me after New Year's Eve.

4358288 Oh I am sorry to hear that. I hope you will be compensated for the lost equipment, Bambi. Alternatively, you can always do a pencil drawing and snap a photo of it. That is acceptable for the contest.

4358498 The first in the series is classical hard. You'll encounter some bullshit but killing enemies with the whip is so damn satisfying.
The second game is far too different from the formula and has a lot of disappointing things about it. I wouldn't play that one.
The third is very hard, but it has some great new little features like a partner system, which can help make things a bit less bullshitty.
The fourth is fantastic; it has a much better balance of difficulty and challenge. If you die, it feels like it's your fault, although there are just a few moments that scream unfairness, but other than that have at the game.
Symphony of the Night is orgasmic. It brings in an RPG system and the graphics are amazing. The game is fun and offers good challenge, and i promise you that you'll feel like a badass when you start getting stronger; the attack performed when you do the Alucard Shield and Shield Rod combo - watch the show, and I'll pop round your house to pick your jaw up for you.
Can't say much for the other games in the series, but I've heard good things about them. It's a shame Konami is the prick it is today because it means Castlevania may not see sequels anymore, but that new Bloodstained - a successor to the Castlevania series being made by employees who left Konami - looks very good. You should keep an eye out for info about Bloodstained if you find yourself interested in the Castlevania series. i think there's a demo out now if you want to get a taste of the gameplay for yourself.
