I have Sad News ...On the afternoon of Friday December 23rd, 2016...My Family's 6 year old Border Collie Lily had to be put down....do to Kidney Failure caused by Antibody's produced during a run in with Lime Disease most like transmitted by a Tick ....Said Tick was taken care of the moment it was discovered ...as well as the Lime Disease ....however ....just because the Lime Disease was treated properly by antibiotic's doesn't mean it would cause problem's down the road ...which in this case.....it did....this is the 2nd Border Collie my family has had to put down, as well as the 2nd "Sister" our other dog Rozy who is a Schnauzer/Poodle Mix or "Schnoodle" as their officially recognized as, has had to lose and she's only 13 years old. Our 1st Border Collie ... Fly (R.I.P. Fly-Girl)...was 14 years old when she had to be put down do to a cyst on her nose that made it hard for her to breath ...Rozy went through an emotional hell when that happened and I hope given her age now ...that she doesn't Die of Depression ....because dogs and other domestic animal's are more prone to and die from that type of emotional stress than humans though that might be arguable when they do die from depression it's a slow painful death...they aren't able to pull a gun or knife and kill them selves the kill the selves by killing them selves from the inside out by ...not eating...not drinking ....not "Doing Their Business" outside or otherwise....they kill them selves with out the use of a foreign source such as...a knife, gun, or drug....because they aren't capable...to top it of the don't communicate their pain the way they would normally so by the time you find out their killing them selves ...it's already to late..........
