Yes, I'm still alive and kicking.
For those of you who have been paying even the slightest bit of attention to my story, "The Kindness", I have renamed it to "Monster" and have decided to take the story down a different path. I found myself lacking the writing skill to successfully write the story I wanted to write, so I have adapted, and have started down a new journey. Also, I have changed the last chapter (Chapter 10) quite significantly for those of you who read it when I first published it. I had too much writer's block (as you can tell from over two years of delay) and not enough writing skill to go down the path I wanted to when I first wrote this story, so I'm going down a different path, with hopefully no less satisfying an ending.
I am sorry that it took two years to publish a measly 10,000 words. I'm sure that most of my readership has grown old and died, along with every single of of their descendants, but I hope somebody is still alive in the futur desolate, post-apocalyptic hellscape With that being said, I am extremely busy, and will continue to be for the next few years. Expect intermittent publications, but do not ever fear my death, for that is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.
