VHS Oddity: How To Care For Your Videocassettes (very early '80s) · 5:29pm Dec 15th, 2016

Throughout Magnetic Video's existence, you had to be a wealthy man in order to get a factory sealed copy of one of their tapes (or at the very least have membership in Andre Blay's Video Club of America. That being said:
- Interesting to note bullet holes for both "network TV" and "cable TV" in there. Network TV was (and still is) ubiquitous; cable TV wasn't in many households (back in my birthplace, some of the boroughs got cable only in the late 1980s and a few waited until the '90s to get it. Chicago didn't get cable until 1985!!!! :pinkiegasp:)
- Magnetic probably did something like this around 1979 at earliest.
- With all that being said, it must have been VERY awkward for whoever bought a Magnetic Video tape of the period (factory sealed, of course) to open up the tape and see a bunch of care tips in it. Yet they could be very helpful at the same time. :twilightsheepish:
- EDIT: "You Are A Home Video Pioneer!" In what way?
- EDIT: No this is not a scan I did myself and I don't have any tape that has this in it.

I think we only have one in our home, that being for "It's A Wonderful Life."

4340893 Well make sure you have both the tape and the player at room temperature two hours before you use them! That's what the pamphlet says!

4340894 I'll be sure to check on that.:twilightsheepish:
