Debating with me, myself, and I, and we are leaning away from a Shade romance with Princess Luna.
Firstly, the age gap. For Luna, Shade is a young mare and would treat her as a younger, but to Shade, she sees Luna as about the same age/maturity (even if Shade is in the six digit age group benefits of being an immortal demigod, right?).
Secondly, I may be a little biased going for Luna because she is the best pony. #lunaforever!
Thirdly, there is the long distance between them. And what I(we) have planned out, one of the main six is a better choice.
Fourthly, Fluttershy and Shade have a (will have) somewhat of a romance in When Technical Support is Too Helpful.

I still think Shade should romance Fluttershy because Shade will still have the memories of her when they were human.
