New Rebels episode: Visions and Voices

So.......I just saw the new episode online

Something occured that was eerily similar to something that happens in the newest chapter of my crossover story.

I swear I didn't watch it first before writing it!!!!

Spoilers down below.

Meh......it was okay. Nothing really special happened. Bit of a filler ep-

Okay I'm fucking with you IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!! ALL MAUL EPISODES ARE!!!!

So here's what goes down. Ezra starts seeing Maul at the Rebel base and no one else can. It gets to the point that Ezra attacks, only for it to be a rebel soldier. He nearly cut him down!!!

Ezra and Kanan decide to visit Bendu again. We find out the holocrons don't work anymore and that whatever Ezra saw before when combining them is even more muddled.

Maul shows up and Bendu disappears. Its Maul for real this time and he rebeals that he found the base because their memories and what they saw from the holocrons got mixed up. He tells Ezra to come with him to fix it so they can both find out what they want to know. Kanan had Sabine put a tracker on Ezra's wrist com and they go off in the new Phantom to follow.

Maul takes Ezra to DATHOMIR!!!!!!! Clone Wars Nostalgia!!!!!

Everything is still dead on the planet. Maul has found out a spell that can help them and we see that he's built a sort of shrine/collector room of things from his past. Nightbrother weapons, a Nightsister scepter, spiked Mando helmets from his followers, peices of Mando architechture, including an image of Satine with the eyes scratched out. And below that is the DARKSABER!!!! He didn't lose it!

He brings Ezra back out and tells him the ritual requires them to drink an elixer. 100%, my hand to any and all gods, on my love of Star Wars, I DID NOT WATCH THE EPISODE BEFORE WRITING THE LATEST CHAPTER OF ZABRAK AND DRAGON. I WAS ACTUALLY CREEPED OUT WHEN IT CAME UP.

Eyes turn green and magic comes out of them and combines to form an image. A planet with twin suns. Maul realizes it's where you know who is, "It all ends where it began", and Ezra says "I can't believe he's alive"

Then nightsister spirits show up, since to doing the ritual required payment. Kanan and Sabine show up and get possessed, turns out the spirits want to rebuild the Nightsister clan anew. And then we get Maul vs possessed Kanan and Ezra vs possesed Sabine.

Ezra and Maul get out of the temple and see that the spirits are restricted to it, it's all kinds of Indiana Jones up in here. Knowledge at a price from spirits that come out of an altar that has a similar shape to the ark of the covenant (Raiders) and no passing a barrier because power will be lost (Last Crusade).

Maul tells Exra to become hos apprentice and forget everything else. Ezra refuses and Maul leaves angry.

Ezra goes back in ti save his friends. Sabine comes out, crawling from the top of a pillar, and pulls out the darksaber. Just fan squeals all around.

Exra is able to use the Force to push Sabine out and the spirit leaves her body, retreating back in to the temple. Ezra takes the darksaber and goes backnin for Kanan.

Short duel with possessed Kanan and Ezra tells the spirits to take him in exchange for Kanan. They agree butbhe pulls out both his lightsaber and the darksaber and cuts into the altar, causing it and the spirits to disappear.

Ezra reveals that the key to destroying the Sith is Obi-Wan, and Maul is looking for him too. But Maul was the only one who knew it was a desert planet. Ezra only knows that it has two suns, and it seems there's quite a few besides Tatooine.

Kanan says they have to reach Kenobi before Maul.

Sabine picks up the darksaber that Ezra left behind.

Great episode overall. Glad to see Dathomir and the darksaber back, and I'm interested to see how Sabine uses it, probably gonna need some training.

Maul vs Obi-Wan is coming! One last battle. They wouldn't dare have Maul killed by anyone else, at leadt not until after the duel like in the Legends story where Owen shoots him in the head after a battle with Obi-Wan.

Fingers crossed for cameos from the Lars couple and a young Luke.

By the way, this HAS to be why Bail and Leia decide to call on him. Obi-Wan needs to be in exile on Tatooine watching over Luke, then they get told he's the key to destroying the sith? Of course they'll call on him. And to Bail's knowledge Luke will be perfectly fine, especially as a young man now, just keep living on the planet.

That's the last Rebels episode for this year. The season comes back next year on January 7 with a two parter. Ghosts of Geonosis.

Description for part 1: The crew returns to Geonosis in search of a missing rebel team sent to investigate suspicious activity there, and are surprised by what they find.

Part 2: After finding a missing rebel team member, the Ghost crew discovers another surprise on Geonosis, and work to conceal it from Imperial forces.

How can it not concern the Death Star? That's where initial construction began. Since Rogue One is about the theft of the plans, it can't be about getting the plans. My theory is that it will concern where the Rebellion can get the plans, and that info is passed on to the team from the new movie, unless it plays out differently in the movie. Or it might be the discovery of the Death Star itself. And that gets passed on to Mon Mothma.
