XD I remember that scene, one of the best moments of the Simpsons ever during their Treehouse of Horror series. I especially like the Roronoa Homer gag and Lisa being from Attack on Titan.

4331836 Annual Treehouse of Horror segment is what happened. Seeing how they can pretty much get away with anything durinng that time as a parody. Chucky, Nightmare on Elm Street, Transformers, Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin, a freaking Cat in the Hat segment, ect. Only thing they haven't tackled in horror yet is The Ring/Ringu, The Grudge, One Missed Call,FNAF and Slender. Plus any horror things I haven't heard about.

Like, it's just a silly joke and not anything spectacular, but it hardly seems like a bad thing.
