Chapter Six, and a New Editor · 1:49am Nov 30th, 2016
It's time for some news!
Chapter six is being prepared for publishing, but I need to make an announcement about how that is coming along. About a week ago, I've taken on a new editor, OrionWolf. His expertise is in high detail, fleshing out the visuals of a scene. And he's really good at it. This is probably the one remaining major aspect of storytelling which Nightmare Nyx has been lacking. Orion will be working with me to drastically improve the visual quality of the prose.
This has created somewhat of a problem with the publishing plan for chapter six. See, chapter six is over 14,000 words long. It is, by far, the longest chapter in the entire story. And it was pretty much at, or slightly exceeding, the standards of the rest of the story so far. A whole lot happens in chapter six. This is, as they say, where shit gets real. So I'm super excited to show it to you all. But being that the chapter is so long, it requires a lot of work to make it as good as it needs to be.
Orion is presently helping with this. The effort is going to massively improve the chapter, but it's also going to mean I'm missing the publishing plan where I was going to release it on the 1st. So hold onto your saddles, boys and girls, because this is going to be a treat. Just a bit later than some of you may have been expecting.
Enjoy your Christmas present!!
Quick update on the progress of things. We've been hard at work all month editing the next chapter to be published. It's nearly done! There are some finishing touches that must be done, though. It's a very long chapter, so this is more work than we expected.
