Way too often the MacGuffin is a weapon of untold power. In truth, some things aren’t weapons unless they’re used for evil. Explosives? Demolition. Guns? Making Keanu Reeves look bad-assed.
How typical of a hero to jump to conclusions about the thief. That’s profiling.

What would happen to the city while the citizens flocked to the fortress for safety? Would the warriors stay behind, fighting a desperate retreat to give others a chance to flee? Would the city gradually darken as torches and lamps were abandoned, and Shadow Ponies fucked shit up?
What does growing up in such a situation do to a pony’s psyche?
