Alola Region, Here I Come!

I'm happy right now. I managed to pick up a copy of Pokémon Sun last night (just barely managed to get it on its release day) and chose the adorable and awesome Grass type owl, Rowlet, as my first partner.

My Rowlet happened to be a female, so I gave it the nickname Karis (free image of a cookie to the first person to guess the reference. Hint: Just look at one of the groups I founded here on Fimfiction). I haven't even done much yet, but it's already shaping up to be a most pleasant game for me.

Alola just seems so vibrantly cheerful right now that I can't help but enjoy myself already. So have a cheerful song that I personally find rather fitting, even though it's from an earlier generation of Pokémon:

Well, I just wanted to post this blog to let you all know what I was currently obsessed with*. Time to get back to my Island Challenge!

*Speaking of things I'm currently obsessed with, I just recently binge watched through Gravity Falls. If any of you haven't seen it yet, you're doing yourself a disservice. I regret not watching it sooner myself, at any rate.

Maybe it's just because I've recently been obsessed with both, but am I the only one who sees a somewhat strong correlation between Sun & Moon's protagonists and Dipper & Mabel Pines?
